What is irrational thinking. Rational thinking
We often wonder why some people are successful in everything, while others, on the contrary, fail in any enterprise. Success in business directly depends on the type of thinking. The ability to think rationally is necessary for successful business.
A man who says he is not rational thinking person- he’s lying. Perhaps it is simply more convenient not to think about pressing problems. In this case, you are not responsible for anything, and you can always hide behind your inability to think logically.
The ability to think correctly allows you to get rid of many unnecessary problems and become a successful and prosperous person in life and business. That is why rational thinking needs to be developed.
There are a number of quite simple techniques, allowing you to develop the ability to think rationally:
Write down ideas that arise on paper. This will help you approach the problem correctly and step by step. In addition, on paper you can easily see your mistakes.
You can replace writing by typing on a computer. This will help sort out all your thoughts and eliminate the possibility of forgetting anything important.
Say your thoughts out loud or record them on a voice recorder, this will help you stay on topic.
Before you start thinking, set yourself specific goals and objectives.
A calm environment promotes rational thinking. The best way to think is in the fresh air while walking. In nature, more oxygen reaches the brain, and it begins to think more actively.
Meditation is in a great way for concentration. With its help, you can detach yourself from the outside world and completely immerse yourself in solving the problem.
Calculate several rational options for solving the problem. Weigh their pros and cons and choose the optimal solution. It is better if you have worked out several options for resolving the issue.
It is necessary to allocate yourself a certain time for reflection, without combining it with some other activity. Rational thinking requires high concentration and you should not be distracted by foreign objects.
If, while solving a question, you are faced with your ignorance of the subject, you should take the time to obtain the necessary information and not act at random.
The ability to think rationally will help you find the optimal way out of the current situation. difficult situation, as well as develop strategy and tactics for the future.
The question of “flight of thought” has occupied great minds since ancient times. However, to this day, neither the wisest of philosophers nor the smartest of scientists can claim that they “understand thinking.” The level of knowledge of consciousness can be compared with the degree of knowledge about the world's oceans. We roughly understand the surface, but know almost nothing about the depth. We can talk about this endlessly, but here we will touch on only two methods of thinking:
- rational;
- irrational.
Many people often act on emotions without thinking through the consequences or their own decisions. This happens due to too “hot blood” or banal reluctance. If this is definitely not about you, then we can say that you are a rational person. This does not imply methodical action or other special factors. Rational thinking is just the ability to think about your decisions and act according to logic.
The Structure of Rational Thinking
There are three main forms of rational thinking:
- concept;
- judgment;
- inference.
We can imagine a concept as the name of an object or action. We simply point out the subject of discussion itself, presenting it to the audience. For example, we say “bird”, “flight”. Next we present a judgment. We link objects together. In other words, we explain the meaning of the previously mentioned concepts. The result is the statement: “The bird flies.”
As a result, we are faced with conclusions. Here judgments are combined, and new conclusions are drawn based on their analysis. We reasoned that the bird flies and we know that it has wings. We also know that humans do not have wings. This means that our conclusion is that the bird flies thanks to its wings.
These forms form the basis of rational thinking. For a clearer picture, it is necessary to look at this from a slightly different angle.
Rational Thinking in Stoicism
In everyday situations, rational thinking often means the need to “turn on your head.” Abstract from emotions and analyze the situation calmly. However, this kind of thinking takes some time. Without a strong habit, it is difficult to start reasoning right away. Especially in moments of emotional turmoil. Emotions overflow, blood rushes to the temples and the brain refuses to work rationally.
This problem has been recognized since ancient times. Consider, for example, Stoicism. When a person is called a “stoic”, then in the imagination he appears truly equanimous and solid as a rock. He keeps himself aloof from small everyday problems, does not pay attention to them and does not worry. This is true, but only partly. Stoicism covers many aspects of life, but here we will talk only about one of the central parts - maintaining reason in difficult situations.
Example of Stoic Thinking
Marcus Aurelius is a great Roman emperor. The last of the "five good emperors". He spent most of his reign on the borders of the empire, protecting it from enemies. Went through two major wars. Despite many problems, he led the empire with dignity and did not lose his mind in the most difficult situations. Stoicism helped him in this. perfectly illustrated the theme of rationalism in his “Reflections”:
From Apollonius, independence and calmness before the game of chance; so as not to look at anything but reason for a moment, and to always be the same - in acute pain, or having lost a child, or in a long illness.
How can you be calm in such terrible situations? Let's take a closer look at the quote. Important point- “calmness before the game of chance.” It actually answers our question. Everything that happens around is a chain of events, fate, if you like. We as humans have no control over these events, so why worry about them? We can only control ourselves and our attitude towards these events. If something bad is still likely to happen or has already happened, isn't it wiser to maintain rational thinking rather than give in to emotions?
If we are talking specifically about stopping worrying (and therefore acting unreasonably) in routine life, then preparation is necessary. That is, you need to be prepared for any vicissitudes of fate. Then there will be no “surprise”, which means that emotions will remain under control.
In the morning, tell yourself in advance: I will meet the vain, the ungrateful, the impudent, the cunning, the greedy, the unsocial. All this happened to them out of ignorance of good and evil.
Of the many philosophical trends, it is Stoicism that is most applicable in everyday life. With its help, we can learn to control our minds and make informed decisions in difficult situations. But this is the basis of rational thinking.
“That guy has an eye for money.” What kind of “sense” is this? Well, he intuitively understands how to make money. After reading the previous chapter, we think rationally, and this explanation does not suit us. We'll figure it out ourselves.
Intuition itself can be understood as an unconscious guide to facts. This is the main difference from rationalism. Irrational thinking covers the surface, barely looking deeper. The mind does not indulge in florid reasoning. This is done unconsciously, and therefore it often seems to a person that he is acting “on instinct.” This kind of thinking is often called feeling. It is emotions, not logic, that become the driving force of thought.
We often think that a person performs some actions without reason or logic. Such a person is labeled “irrational.” However, nothing happens easily, and everything happens for a reason. It’s just that an “irrational person”’s thinking operates superficially, in express mode. Because of this, reasoning and logic can become distorted. But since this is done unconsciously, it is not always possible to understand these tricks of consciousness.
Disadvantages of Rational Thinking
Adherence to the principles of rational thinking can play a cruel joke on a person. Here, for example, is the situation. You see a pie that looks quite delicious. But you don't try it. Why? Oh, you've tried it before and it tasted disgusting. This is rational thinking. You put forward the concept of “pie”. Your judgment of the pie is that it “looks delicious.” However, the conclusion tells you another fact: you have already eaten such a pie, and it was not so good. But what if that ill-fated time the cook was drunk or was not there at all, and an incompetent novice cooked? But you don’t know this, and by doing so, you may be depriving yourself of a delicious meal.
What is the conclusion from this stupid story? The moral is that rational thinking is limited by the information available. It’s no secret that the human brain rejects everything new and unknown, it’s such a conservative. It turns out that when a person thinks rationally, the brain uses only the information that is available. He does not want to take into account the fact that there is something unknown to us. He really is still that cunning.
The benefits of rational thinking
But it’s not for nothing that so many good things are said about rationality. Of course, in many life situations, forms of rational thinking turn out to be the most appropriate. You can reason and foresee different outcomes of events, which is of great benefit. Rational thinking is what helps to avoid the state of passion, excessive exposure to emotions. And in such a state you can do terrible things. In general, it is difficult to overestimate the benefits of rationalism in life.
However, it is worth sometimes letting your inner fire flare up. Constantly holding back emotions can lead to them breaking through the door of their prison and spilling everywhere. Then an imbalance will really come, and few people will be happy about it. It will, of course, lead to a rethink, which is very important, but the method is extremely tough. There are many less painful and no less effective ways. The main thing is to know where you can let the primitive beast out, and where it is better to remain civilized. If this understanding comes, then life will become a little easier and a little clearer.
Bottom line
Ultimately, we realized that although there are different ways of thinking, each has its own pros and cons. Rational thinking is not a panacea for all problems, but a life driven only by emotions carries a lot of problems. Rationalism is ice, irrationalism is fire. By choosing only the first, you risk becoming “cold” and freezing your “inner self.” If you choose only fire, you will burn yourself and burn your loved ones. A wise decision is to learn how to skillfully combine these forms or find a balance.
RATIONAL AND IRRATIONAL MINDS
I once worked with a woman. Her business stopped going. She worked hard, but the money didn’t come. I worked with her using the Voice Dialogue method.
Of course, first she moved into a subpersonality that loves to work. Having found out her positions and thoughts regarding what was happening, I helped her move into the subpersonality, which is responsible for rest. As one would expect, it was this subpersonality that began to interfere with the work, ruin deals and divert clients. The woman was very tired; she had not rested for several years in a row. Despite the fact that she occasionally went to the sea, her thoughts were still on work. And this, of course, is an incomplete vacation. I helped this woman get to know her subpersonalities well, but she still had the feeling that someone else inside her was interfering with her work.
We talked a little about general topics, and then decided to get acquainted with her logical mind. When the linear mind came to the surface, it turned out that at the moment it was he who was organizing her entire life. Very purposeful, assertive, with a decisive note in his voice, he likes to make life predictable, and he copes with this task brilliantly. He instantly calculates everything that this or that meeting can give, what consequences it can lead to and what will happen in the end. He brings her together with people for her benefit and divorces her if he believes that communication with them will not lead to positive results. He structures every moment of her life. He even plans her sense of humor and how cheerful she should be in life and in company.
I asked him (actually her):
– If you plan everything in her life without exception, even the way to work and back, what time to leave, what time to arrive, when to turn the corner and what will happen then, where will you get food for your own existence when there is no food left in her life? accidents? She is walking down the street, and suddenly she wants to go not the usual way, but turn into an alley, and there, for example, she meets a person, a man who can bring significant positive changes to her life.
“I won’t let her turn away, I’ll go the usual way.” And if I turn and a man begins to approach me, I will instantly calculate who he is and what he is, and on the basis of this I will decide whether to speak to him or not,” he answered.
– Do you stay away from the men you like because you are afraid of them?
“Yes,” he answers.
– And you avoid men you don’t like all the more, don’t you?
- So.
– And this is how you act in every area of your life. So where will you get food for your own existence if you do not allow accidents into your life? – I ask him again. - Imagine that you have moved into new apartment. It took six months or even ten years to arrange it, put everything in its place and organize it. And that’s it, you have nothing more to do. You're dying. Without letting chance into life, you will die because you are nourished, that is, the spark of life in you is nourished by your own work on calculating the future and ordering it. There are no accidents, there is no work for you, but there is only your death.
After much thought and calculation, he said:
- Okay, I agree to let randomness into her life. I want to point out here that by agreeing to the randomness in her life, he actually gave the go-ahead for her to be able to sleep as much as she wants (especially since if she wakes up on a set schedule at six, she still doesn’t have the strength to get up - another subpersonality stops her - and she lies in bed until eight) so that she can come to work when she wants, so that she can not follow a number of other rules that make life so boring, dreary and unbearable.
Before parting with him, I asked his permission to speak with his opposite, and, having received consent, we parted warmly. When the woman herself came to the surface, she could not hide her amazement at what she heard. She, of course, knew that she was planning her life, but she could not imagine to what extent. After resting a little, she and I moved into the nonlinear mind. She turned out to be a wise and relaxed woman, easy in words and actions, and also very cheerful. I had a much more difficult time with her than with a linear woman, because I’m more or less good with logic, but with a nonlinear mind... I still don’t know how to speak his language fluently.
- Yes, I live by events. I have excellent control over any situation without analyzing it. I see it all entirely in time and space. Everything is at one point. Everything is here, and I am in the center. I just see the whole thing and decide what action to take next. Therefore, all my actions are always effective. To get up or not to get up early, to go or not to go to a meeting, to turn onto another street or not to turn - everything is clear here. In general, I don’t understand why a linear mind is needed when I can see everything and make the most optimal decisions. Such a monologue, what can you argue with? And is it necessary?
I continue the conversation:
– You see the situation as a whole and decide to act right moment, if you are allowed. But every situation consists of many moments, and when your action has occurred, then this situation must be unfolded step by step in time. For you there is no time, no space, everything is at one point, right?
“Yes,” answers the nonlinear mind.
– And in order to build a house, you need to take many small routine actions. Yes, the house is one, but it consists of many parts, and these parts are connected to each other by the linear mind. You instantly see the result, but in order to see the result, he has to implement your actions and wait. There is no time for you, and you act outside of time, but he lives in time, and he has to unfold all your actions in time.
For you, time is nothing, but for him, it’s everything. You go out for a moment and immediately get the result, because you live where there is no time, in eternity, but he lives in time and therefore never sees the result. No matter how long he lives, no matter what he does, he will never see the final result of any of his actions, so time for him turns into an insignificant moment, into nothing. We look back at the years we have lived and see a moment, nothing.
And the non-linear mind said:
– Yes, I already feel comfortable when from time to time I go to the surface and take action. This is enough for me, I like this life. Let him exist for himself.
It seems that this example is quite enough to understand the nature of the rational and irrational mind. But I want to add something else.
The linear, rational mind is guided in its actions by methods and rules, that is, proven patterns of behavior. When making a decision, he first goes through the options, compares them, and then chooses the best. And he chooses the best, guided by immediate benefits, because the future is closed to him. Being in a rational mind, you go towards your goal step by step.
The irrational mind has no methods, rules or patterns. He doesn’t need them, and he doesn’t need to go through the options, comparing them with each other, because, being in him, the person and the goal become united, that is, the result and action merge into one whole. All this can be seen in so-called successful actions, when they lead to immediate results.
The rational mind is flat thinking, based on the principle of “yes - no”, “better - worse”, “closer - further”, etc., and the irrational mind is three-dimensional. When you move through the city streets to get to your destination, you are guided by a rational linear mind. You do not see the goal at this moment, it exists only in your mind.
The irrational non-linear mind is looking at the city from above when you clearly see your goal. But your actions at this moment are disabled, they exist only in potency in your mind. And the mind itself is completely occupied with the goal.
When you decide to get to a goal, you release your rational linear mind, and the irrational mind retreats at this time, so the actions begin to fill your mind, and the goal begins to fade into the background.
It seems to me that animals can use their nonlinear minds so well because they can navigate space easily. As you know, dogs and cats easily find their way home, birds fly to their old nests, and fish and eels easily find their old spawning grounds. Pigeons demonstrate miracles of orientation in the stormiest weather.
However, it would be a mistake to attribute all achievements in mastering the work of linear and nonlinear minds only to animals. People also know something about this matter. For example, arrows that hit the target without aiming are not fiction, but the work of both minds in harmonious unity.
And here a lot of questions arise to which you need to look for answers:
How to open the irrational mind?
How to see the goal without seeing it?
How to feel unity with purpose?
What should you do to get to know the rational and irrational minds?
How to make sure that the rational and irrational minds work simultaneously when solving problems?
Attention and awareness of every thought, every action.
Rational is a type of thinking that follows a clear logical connection and leads to a specific goal. Irrational and rational thinking are opposite concepts, where the irrational option presupposes the absence of logic, coherence, and goals.
Methods of rational thinking
Rational thinking presupposes a way of thinking that does not take into account the sensory sphere. This is a purely cognitive process in which there is no place for personal emotions and assessments of reality. At the same time, it is worth understanding that rational thinking does not mean productive thinking.
It is the rational type of thinking that allows a person to “pull himself together” and adequately assess what is happening in a situation that brings him to emotions. This type of thinking discards premonitions, impulses, desires, experiences, impressions and everything subjective.
The role of rational thinking in cognition is difficult to overestimate: it is precisely this that allows one to give impartial characteristics and definitions in any area.
Rational and imaginative thinking
Figurative thinking is also called visual-figurative thinking. Its peculiarity is that it allows you to advance in knowledge without any real action. Imaginative thinking considers the situation intuitively, without analysis. Moreover, if the result of such thinking should not be voiced, then verbal conclusions will not be formulated. It is interesting that for this type of thinking the language itself turns out to be not as important as for rational thinking, which is built precisely on the basis of familiar words, concepts and variants of mental activity.
In contrast to the rational type, with imaginative thinking the result will be filled with a large amount of personal content and meaning. Imaginative thinking is especially important for creative people who, through a work of art, strive to convey to other people an image that would be difficult to express in another way.
It is the presence of imaginative thinking that makes Tyutchev’s famous phrase “a thought expressed is a lie” true. A person who is trying to explain his thoughts reformulates images into words, and his interlocutor extracts an image from the words, and it is no longer the same one that the other person put in. It is easier to understand each other when a person operates with the concepts of rational thinking, logical conclusions and terms, the meaning of which is precisely established and known to the interlocutor.

Inner voice
You have probably been in situations when an inner voice advised you to act in a certain way, but you did everything the opposite, and then you became convinced that you were wrong, you were sad, angry, angry, but it was too late to change anything. Such situations haunt us all our lives, cover all areas of life and concern both insignificant things and fateful decisions.
How does our ordinary mind work, with the help of which we navigate the world around us? Linear. It is very important for him to build logically explainable chains that clearly show what follows what and why. Cause and effect here follow strictly one after another.
One day I was going about my business to meet the person I needed. Before the meeting, we called, and he told me the name of the street and the house number - twenty, five. I arrived at the street I needed, walked along it and noted the house numbers.
So I saw house number twenty-three, I walked further, then I was very clearly drawn to go into the yard, but I told myself that the next house was mine and continued on my way. It so happened that the sign with the number of this house was at the other end of it. I walked a considerable distance before I saw that it was house number thirty-one.
Here, of course, I logically calculated that all the other houses were in the yard, turned the corner and, approaching the twenty-fifth house I needed, I saw that the distance from the place where I was drawn to enter the yard to the house I needed was the shortest : My linear mind hypnotized me with a sequence of numbers and logical calculations, I became identified with it and became unable to follow the instructions of the non-linear mind.
How does the inner voice work? Not linear. The inner voice is that part of our self that lives in a nonlinear Universe, where cause and effect are closed in a ring. In other words, the effect is the cause of the cause that gave rise to it. For example, from a non-linear point of view, a child is the reason for the existence of his parents - they gave birth to him, and he gave birth to them. He is the only parent of his two parents. But at the same time they are his parents.
This is difficult to wrap your head around because you are trying to comprehend it with a linear mind, where time has a beginning and an end, and the effect follows strictly the cause. Try drawing a circle twenty centimeters long using a twenty-centimeter ruler.
However, if you continue to reflect on the above, sooner or later you will begin to understand what we're talking about. To do this, you just need to regularly return to this topic.
Have you noticed that immediately after an inner voice advises us to do something, the question “Why?” immediately arises. and there is a feeling that the advice you heard is illogical?
Absolutely right. Adviсe inner voice are always illogical, because they lie outside of linear thinking, outside the logic of the rational mind, and all people, including you, live by the mind. Therefore you have doubts. You are used to using your rational mind, so you do not accept the advice of your inner voice.
One day I was sitting in meditation. As always, I let my mind go, letting it wander wherever it wanted. I just sat and looked ahead, without any specific chain.
Somehow, by itself, a picture appeared before my inner gaze of me driving a car down the street on some business. To get to my goal, I need to take a certain route. I continue to drive the car and, approaching an intersection, I hear a voice inside me that advises me to turn right here.
I understand that by following this decision, I will bypass some obstacle that awaits me ahead - a traffic jam, for example. However, another voice immediately intervenes with a question:
"Why? How do you know what's best to roll? Here the street is wider, and the road surface is better, and you’re used to driving here.” This is how I saw how the linear mind and the inner voice interact.
The rational mind is always accompanied by questions like “Why?” and “How do you know this is better?” and such reasoning as: “Oh, come on. You’re used to doing it this way and not in another way, but it rarely let you down, and it won’t let you down now.” We follow the advice of the rational mind and... we get there.
For example, you need to build a house. When to build a house, when should you use your logical, rational mind, and when should you use your intuition? This includes both preliminary preparation and construction itself.
Communication at a distance
I mean telepathy. In principle, there is nothing surprising or mysterious in telepathy itself. It would be surprising if it did not exist, since the External is Equal to the Internal, since all forms are connected to each other through emptiness and therefore can communicate freely - and they do communicate. There are a great many examples.
How do people lose this ability? First, thanks to the limiting belief: “This is impossible.” Give a new thought to this belief, and everything will begin to return to normal.
Secondly, because they lost touch with their body, living mostly in their mind. People have also lost touch with their inner child. The child initially has the ability to communicate with the whole world and read information from it. Otherwise it would be completely impossible to understand how he early age accepts information from his parents and calmly assimilates an adult view of the world. Gradually, a rational mind-controller develops in the child, which separates him from the world.
How to start communicating with your inner child? Start learning to trust life and people, trust them with your affairs and life, and gradually remove your control over life. After all, you have already noticed that “what will happen cannot be avoided.”
Allow me play with yourself, frolic, show emotions outwardly. By the way, when the mind drops into tanden, and this happens when you relax, emotions and feelings themselves begin to appear outside.
Are you afraid of losing face if you frolic in public? But it is already lost when you decide to put on a mask of impenetrability.
Organs of perception
The work of the mind
Strictly speaking, the linear mind and the rational mind are not exactly the same thing, although they are very, very similar. In the previous book, “Life without Borders,” we looked at how Aristotle introduced the concept of self-existent matter and since then Western civilization has embarked on a rational path of development, which it continues to successfully follow to this day. If you want to better understand what will be discussed below, you may need to re-read the corresponding chapter from the previous book.
How does the rational linear mind work? Very simple. Since he needs to somehow settle into the world around him, he comes up with concepts, assigns names and definitions, and then safely uses them for his own convenience. In this sense, he lives in a world of illusions, non-existent things. For him they exist because he named them. As soon as he named them, they immediately came into existence. This is how our mind works, hence it follows that the external is equal to the internal.
For example, if a woman tells herself that her husband is cheating on her, she begins to see that he is cheating on her. She interprets his every step, his every word as treason.
Organs of perception
Thus, it turns out that our organs of perception perceive what the rational, linear mind creates. That is, our organs of perception also work linearly. They, like the linear mind, create images and separate them from each other. Each of the organs of perception creates its own images. For example, taste distinguishes the main tastes and shades of tastes, the ear distinguishes different sounds and sets of sounds, the nose distinguishes different smells and sets of smells that are signs of a given object or person.
The linear mind, which includes the organs of perception, uses the templates that it creates itself, and lives happily in the world it created, in the world of illusions. In this sense, you see nothing, hear nothing, smell nothing, touch nothing, feel nothing, think nothing. Or rather, you do it all, but you don’t do it at the same time, because you are dealing with your own illusions.
For example, physicists agreed that photons, particles of light, exist, and they immediately began to exist. Now they teach this in school, and everyone also sees that light is photons. Photons came into existence. The same self-existence that Aristotle spoke about.
Now we look at an object, see it and believe that it is the reflected photons that fall into our eye, onto the retina - that is why we see it.
For example, physicists agreed that radio waves exist. They teach that sound waves that travel, for example, in the air, enter our ear and in this way we can receive information. Now we can hear and recognize familiar sets of sounds. We know that these are radio waves.
For example, scientists agreed among themselves that molecules exist. We are taught this at school, and we also believe this, although we have never seen a single molecule. They further claim that the substance, when it evaporates, emits an odor, a set of molecules. Molecules float in the air and are captured by special receptors, which were also discovered by scientists. This is how animals recognize each other by smell.
For example, butterflies release special smell, and the male or female catches this smell five to ten kilometers away. Moreover, according to scientists, they capture only one molecule. This theory does not withstand any logical test at all, but phenomena need to be explained, otherwise scientists will show themselves to be incompetent.
Let's say this unfortunate male caught this very only molecule for as much as five cubic kilometers. The probability of this simply cannot be measured - it is so insignificant. But how will he then know which direction to fly to meet his girlfriend?
I say all this to show you that in the linear mind the senses actually operate as scientists describe. However, it doesn’t matter how they act, because it’s still an illusion created by our minds, because we are dealing with templates.
We are interested in how they actually work, our feelings, our organs of perception? To understand this, you need to move into a non-linear mind.
Let me remind you that in a nonlinear mind everything is connected to each other, everything is one, everything exists simultaneously, and between the forms there is no self-existent substance that Aristotle talks about, that is, there is nothing that separates them in the usual sense of the word. There are no distances either, because distances are the creation of the linear mind that separates forms.
In the non-linear mind, the organs of perception - our senses - are channels of direct, DIRECT access to forms and to the information that is contained in them, to information that corresponds to a given channel of perception.
Information is what is contained in the form, that is, emptiness. The word “information” directly indicates that we gain access to emptiness - to the essence. Our essence, with the help of the organs of perception, DIRECTLY communicates with the essence of forms. Since all forms are connected to each other through emptiness, the organs of perception are channels of direct access to the forms and to the information contained in them.
Yes, but why do images fade and blur with distance, why do sounds fade, why do smells become less noticeable? Because you - your linear mind - place distance between yourself and the object of interest to you. Remember fairy tales where heroes could feel, hear, see at a great distance? It's all true. They did not put thought forms in the form of distance between themselves and the object of interest to them and did not say to themselves: “This is impossible.”
If you allow yourself to no longer become attached to forms - images, sounds, smells, etc. - then you will directly read the essence of a given form through the appropriate channel of perception. Animals cope well with this task. For example, when dogs or cats suddenly attack stranger. Connect with their feelings in that moment.
Movement and rest
Our Mind is dual. It consists of linear and nonlinear minds.
The linear mind divides and arranges everything along a line. Therefore, time flows sequentially for him. This is where the movement comes from. Movement appears only because the linear mind separates things, that is, forms, from each other and arranges them in a certain sequence. Seconds, minutes, hours, life, eternity. Meters, kilometers, parsecs, infinity. Units, hundreds, thousands, infinity. Linear mind and movement are the same thing.
In a non-linear mind, all things exist simultaneously and in connection with each other, and time stands still, spreading around like a vast ocean. There is no movement here in the sense in which we understand it. Here everything exists and does not exist simultaneously and together, and not separately.
When we are in the linear mind, in motion, we take certain actions to create or destroy things. We can clearly see and perceive these processes.
And when we are in static opposition, at rest, what do we do or, more correctly, how do we not act, that things appear and disappear before our eyes?
Don't understand? Then again. In linear thinking, where time flows sequentially, we see how a thing, for example, a house, is gradually built and takes on a finished form. We also see it starting to crumble or being destroyed. In a nonlinear mind, time does not flow, but stands still, so things exist and at the same time they are not, they appear and disappear.
So how do we not act in static opposition, in a standstill, so that things appear and disappear?
How should one not act so that things appear and disappear, so that everything that is needed happens?
Vicious circle
As you read this chapter, pay attention to what is happening in your solar plexus.
To begin with, let us remember that the force of action is equal to the force of reaction - with what force you press on the wall, with the same force it presses on you, returning your own strength. Let's remember this well.
There is a place within us in the linear mind where we think that we have nothing or do not have what we think we really need. When we determine that we do not have what we need, the desire to get it appears in us. (Note: desires and thoughts appear simultaneously.)
Once to the question: “Why do you manipulate people? Why do you need people to do what you want?” I replied: “This is how I build my world. If I don’t force, use force, manipulate, my desires will not come true, I will be left with nothing.”
Let us remember the above law: the force of action is equal to the force of reaction. You apply force and it pushes you away. It is when you apply force that you begin to be pushed away.
Acting with force is a hidden desire to be rejected.
How often were you and your desires rejected as a child? When?
By acting forcefully, I provoke people to reject me... then my desires will not be fulfilled/so that my desires will not be fulfilled. The External is Equal to the Internal.
So you desire and therefore make an effort... to end up back where you started - where you don't have what you need.
After all this reasoning, a logical question arises: “But I still get something from people and life?” Yes, force and manipulation sometimes work. But your use of force and other methods to get what you want, if successful, only once again emphasizes and aggravates your feeling of loneliness and inner emptiness. And this is exactly the place from which you come out into the world to fulfill your desires, and where you return again, full of disappointment and pain. A terrible picture, absolute hell! Because you were forced to act by force and forcibly snatch from the world what, as you know very well deep inside, is due to you by right of birth in this Universe.
How to get out of this vicious circle?
To find the answer and realize new style relationship with life, you need to go beyond the linear mind. Remember what the nonlinear mind is and its characteristics, and the answer will come to you. And in your life there will be peace and a new way of interacting with the world.
In a non-linear mind, where the Past Equals the Future, everything that belongs to you in life, everything that you were destined for from birth, has long existed.
Wish
You've probably read myths and stories different nations. In particular, in them one can find descriptions of evil demons burning a person’s body with fire and devouring his flesh. What kind of demons do you think these are?
Always remember that myths and legends reflect reality, they describe the structure of the Universe and the work of the mind, what happens in it and how it affects the body and the outside world. Myths and legends describe what happens here on earth, in man himself, and not in some kind of hell or heaven that no one has seen. They describe what is going on in your mind. Your own mind creates hell or heaven during your life on earth.
Someone once needed to encrypt this knowledge. For what? Probably so that a person, having gone through suffering, knows all the horror of ignorance. So that a person finally learns to look into his own mind.
Do you want to start understanding what is happening in you and around you?
Stop and start looking into your mind. I have met people who complained that their body was being consumed from the inside by some kind of fire. They said that someone was eating them, bringing unbearable torment. Their descriptions matched almost word for word what I had read in the myths. They were devoured by their thoughts and desires, turning into demons of evil.
Have you noticed that when you lack something, you are constantly gnawed by this thought/desire to have?
The word “gnaws” comes from “gnaw”, “starve”, that is, from the feeling of a lack of something and the desire to have it.
What thought/desire is EASTING you right now?
Have you noticed that when another person feels good, it also EATS?
Thus, with our little desires, we give birth to imps, which over time turn into evil demons that devour our insides and soul. It’s not for nothing that Buddha once advised to free yourself from desires if you want to be free.
Why and how do desire-imps turn into demons of evil? You know the answer to this question very well. We have already discussed these processes that occur in our mind more than once. Look inside yourself again at how thoughts and desires grow and gradually take power over you.
What are moderate desires? What does it mean to desire IN MODERATION?
As you know, the body completely and completely reflects what is happening in the soul, because the External is Equal to the Internal. Look inside yourself:
Where is the measure within you?
And one more thing. There are desires that we must fulfill in order to fulfill our destiny. The fulfillment of such desires gives us joy and a sense of becoming. But there are desires that we create artificially because we are envious, we want to do something out of spite, we want to “be like everyone else,” etc.
Which ones do you think could turn into flesh-eating demons?
Black hole
Let's remember the description of black holes from astronomy. As you read the following text, try to draw parallels between it and what happens to people. Think in analogies, that is, when you come across some special word that describes characteristic features life of black holes, find an analogy for it from the processes occurring inside a person.
Learning to draw analogies means learning to see that Up is Equal to Down, External is Equal to Internal, Left is Equal to Right.
According to science, black holes are the last stage in the life of stars that have a certain mass. When radiation the inner layers no longer exist when it ends internal energy, such a star begins to contract under the influence of its own mass, which is so huge that the star has nothing left to do other than this. Gravitational collapse sets in. This causes an explosion called a “supernova”.
If the mass of the matter remaining from the explosion is less than two masses of the sun, then further compression stops, and we get a neutron star - a pulsar. This is a very small star, but with a huge mass, which is called a “white dwarf”.
If the mass of the remaining matter is three solar masses, further compression continues, and we get a black hole. The substance in it is compressed into a point. Gravity in it is infinite, the density of matter is infinite, and the curvature of space-time is also infinitely small.
Let me explain. Infinite gravity means that if a person falls into such a hole, he will be flattened and there will simply be nothing left of him. The mass there is so dense that it is even impossible to imagine. The Earth has its own radius, that is, around the Earth, space and time are folded in a certain way, which is why the Earth exists. Does a point have a radius? That's how much space a black hole takes up.
For example, if we could organize the processing and storage of industrial and household waste on the principle of a black hole or at least a white dwarf, our planet would always shine with pristine purity. This recycled waste would not even be detectable - it would take up so little space.
Moreover, space and time in a black hole change places, space becomes one-dimensional, and time becomes three-dimensional, that is, it has length, height, width, and it is reversible. Three-dimensional space is reversible - you can, after leaving the house, return to it. So time in a black hole is reversible, you can walk back and forth, up and down.
There is only one path in a black hole - from the periphery to the center. Although where the center is in it and where the periphery is is unclear. But you still think about it and try to imagine it based on the fact that in a black hole there are no distances, since the radius is zero. Just don’t strain yourself too much, otherwise you’ll go crazy.
As you approach the boundary of a black hole, from where there is no return, time gradually slows down, and when crossing this boundary it stops completely. That is, it takes an infinitely large amount of time to cross this border. From the outside, it looks as if the spaceship is frozen motionless at the edge of a black hole.
If you are on a ship, then time flows differently for you. You cross the border within a certain time and rush towards your death at great speed.
And one more thing. Black holes draw everything into themselves, including light, and do not let anything out. Although I recently read a note that they still emit light and other particles from themselves. That's right, there are no unidirectional processes in the Universe; they are all dual and directed towards each other.
Human
We're done with astronomy, now let's move on to real life on Earth. But first we need to make a few notes.
Scientists have determined that our Universe is a black hole, as it corresponds to all its characteristics. Man unfolds the entire manifested Universe from himself, from his mind. Therefore, initially a person is also a black hole.
Since the Universe itself is a black hole, there are black holes in it. This means that black holes should appear in a person’s behavior in some areas of his life.
In a linear Universe, a person can live either life ordinary star, or a supernova, or a pulsar, or a red giant, or a black hole (all of the above also applies to nations).
Have you noticed moments when it seems to you that time has stopped? Have you noticed moments when it seems to you that time is galloping and you are uncontrollably carried somewhere? Looking back, have you noticed how far you've come and how quickly? Looking back, have you noticed that time has flown by, but you are still where you were? So we switch. A person is both turned outward and turned in at the same time.
When some desire in a person reaches a certain size, the person closes and turns into a black hole.
Forming a hole
When a desire reaches a certain size, a cocoon is formed around a person, the person closes and turns into a black hole.
First, he cultivates desire in himself, his thoughts concentrate on success, the will and strength appear in him to bring his plans to life.
What fuels your desire and what makes it grow?
Look inside yourself. Always look inside yourself to finally gain power over the mind and gain freedom.
After some time, wishes come true. A person receives confirmation of his strength and power and becomes even more inflated with pride and his own uniqueness. For a while it turns into a supernova, radiating around itself material well-being, success, fame.
His self-confidence grows even more, and he decides to carry out his even more daring plans. Usually at this time he begins to see signs of an approaching catastrophe. The most important signs are his own thoughts about how “cool” he is, how much he has done and can still do. On the external plane, things that usually went smoothly begin to slow down a little, and it seems that something is not going well. This, of course, infuriates him, and he decides to take risks in order to sharply push things forward.
What is the critical moment when desire begins to form a black hole?
Go inside yourself and see the answer. This is quite easy to do in meditation if you spend some time on it. Just sit, posing the question to yourself and not pushing yourself to solve it. Surrender, trust the flow, and everything will happen by itself.
God - the Universe - the Absolute - the Supreme Mind - the Primary Source always gladly meets us halfway and reveals its secrets if we make regular efforts to first pose questions and then find answers to them. This is the law.
Cash debts
You have most likely heard, read about people who are in a financial hole, and even know them personally. They sold everything they have of value, including an apartment, but still owe an incalculable amount of money, and often interest continues to accrue, that is, the debt increases - they are increasingly pulled into a black hole.
Their desire to have more money/power/power at some point reached critical mass, and they turned into a black hole.
When does desire reach critical mass?
Supernovas hold their chins high, are self-confident and categorical in their judgments. Their affairs, of course, are going well - for now - but collapse is not far off. Perhaps all the murders and ruins of successful businessmen are caused precisely by the mental collapse that occurred in them.
How to recognize black holes? They usually have burning eyes, wandering eyes, crazy effective ideas about how to earn a lot of money at once. They talk a lot about how nice it would be to have a lot of money at once. Avoid them, no matter what benefits their offers promise, otherwise they will drag you into their hole. I have seen how such people sometimes came to work in companies and they collapsed after a while.
White dwarfs, which are, of course, inferior to black holes in terms of gravity, are nevertheless also very dangerous from the point of view of any partnership with them. They have a handsome, trustworthy appearance. It’s simply a sin to refuse such a person help and partnership. The very thought of this seems blasphemous. Since you do not even allow the thought that such a person may not repay the debt or misuse your money, it means that you will give him what he requires and he, satisfied, will swallow your money.
The approaching state of a black hole can also be recognized by a nagging feeling of lack - you want more. This is a sign that you have begun to develop desire within yourself, and therefore critical mass. This increase in desire will cause you to eventually collapse.
It is impossible not to lend money to a black hole, even if you know that this person- black hole. Since you cannot be on your guard all the time, sooner or later you will move into a complacent mood where you want to do good for people. Then, like a homing missile, a black hole, as if by magic, will appear next to you to offer you a “lucrative” deal or tell you a heartbreaking story about how she, along with her sick mother and child, will be evicted right onto the street if they don’t right now They will pay the amount for the apartment, for which they have been in debt for a year.
You know perfectly well that this person will not give the money, because he does not give it to anyone and already owes it to many people, but you still give, driven by good feelings. Or you give, like a somnambulist, seeing what is happening, but not being able to intervene in the process. Money is uncontrollably drawn out of you, only to disappear into this hole without a trace.
If such a person is near you and you know that he does not repay his debts, therefore, you benefit from his friendship with him, no matter what you tell yourself at the same time, justifying yourself and your close relationship with him.
What benefit do you get? Look for the most incredible answers.
If you want to get rid of him, lend him a certain amount, which you don’t mind, but preferably more, and set a return date, specifying that you will be very unhappy if he doesn’t do this. Then he will never remind of himself again. And if after some time he appears in front of you again, show with all your appearance that you are waiting for the money to be returned, or say it out loud. If you forgive him the debt, he will borrow money from you again. Do you need this?
And remember that lending money is always a risk. Firstly, the person you want to help may be either a white dwarf, or a black hole, or at the moment he has such circumstances that he has begun to lose money. Secondly, you yourself may be being pulled into a black hole at this moment or you are simply in a period of time when you need to lose money - some internal block is forcing you to do this. There are thousands of reasons why you could lose money, so leave lending money to professionals like banks, etc.
One can even assume that when lending money, it is best to say goodbye to it; it won’t be so offensive to lose it later. It is much easier to say goodbye to them than to think about them every day, cursing this person. In this case, you accumulate negativity, and negativity, as you know, attracts other negativity, thus drawing you into another black hole - the hole of disappointment in people.
Lending money is always a risk. Therefore, you only have yourself to blame if the debt is not repaid to you.
There is also a situation in business that can be confused with a black hole, but it is not one. This is a situation where a person owes a lot of money and is owed approximately the same amount. A person creates this situation in his life in order to regroup his forces, go through studies, gain some knowledge, and put his personal affairs in order. There can be many reasons. We need to look into each individual case. If you are in this position, look around, remember what you have been most talked about lately. This will be the reason why you found yourself in such a situation.
How to repay debts
All people, without exception, find themselves in similar situations in one area or another of their lives: in money, in relationships, in partnerships at work, etc. This is how life develops. So first of all, relax.
The very first thing I overwhelmingly advise people who are starting to get sucked into a black hole of financial debt is to stop the business by selling everything possible in order to pay off, if not all, then at least most of the debts. At such moments, you need to get rid of both the business itself and everything that can be sold without much damage to yourself - otherwise this mass will drag you down. It’s better to start a new business from scratch than to work in debt all your life. A business whose main goal is to pay off debts does not work in most cases. Whereas if you stop, you will have the opportunity to start dealing with the hole itself.
To solve any life situation, you must first accept it. What it is - that is, why resist further? Stop struggling and relax. Then you can stop.
Once you stop, you can begin to look at the situation. Stopping always results in you being able to see the details of the case.
If you do not accept the situation as it is and do not stop, you will continue to think that you need to give money, and the number of thoughts will constantly grow. Your desire to give away money will continue to increase. This is the nutrient broth for a black hole that supports its existence. Stop wishing and stop thinking. Accept your position.
In addition, the more you think that you need money, that you lack money, the more this shortage will increase. And then everything is very simple: the internal begins to create the external, like begins to attract like. As long as you think, wish and therefore fight, chances are you will never get out of this situation.
If you are in this situation, remember:
When did desire take over you completely and completely?
What thoughts and feelings did you have then?
At the same time, go into your body and begin to experience feelings, emotions and thoughts of defeat, of complete collapse.
What will happen if you remain in this position forever, for the rest of your life?
Ask yourself this question and at the same time remain in your body, giving pain, fear, everything negative emotions rise with all its might and flow. Experience them according to the Algorithm for Experiencing Pain, which was described in my third book.
At the same time, you can ask yourself the question:
Since the External is Equal to the Internal, therefore, I myself created this situation, therefore, it is in me. What should/should I understand from it?
Remove all judgment, all desire to be better than you are, and be aware of what is in you.
The last technique uses the Law of Monad Flipping. When you allow yourself to hit rock bottom, the monad flips and you find yourself in the opposite state. The pendulum, having reached its extreme point, always returns to its previous state. People are usually afraid of the situation in which they find themselves, so they fight with all their might to get rid of it. And here you need to mentally accept it and reconcile yourself, allowing it, again mentally, in meditation, to drag you to the very bottom, while simultaneously experiencing in this meditation the fear, feelings and emotions that are released.
But you still have nowhere to go? Are you already there?
To better understand how you ended up in this situation, carefully re-read the laws described in my fourth book, “Life without Borders.” Awareness - great thing. Awareness destroys bad karma.
And one last thing. Have a mental conversation with your creditors. Talk from the heart, and not as if you were sworn enemies. As long as you look at them as your enemies, they will persecute you mercilessly, because the External is Equal to the Internal. Talk to them as if they were people you respect and are grateful for the support they once gave you. Speak from the heart.
The combination of rational and irrational
Let's remember the example with the ruler and circle that I gave above. Yes, drawing a circle twenty centimeters long using a twenty-centimeter ruler is very, very difficult, if not impossible.
However, if the straight line is small and the circle is very large, then this straight line easily becomes part of the circle. There is even a theorem in mathematics, proven, in my opinion, by Lobachevsky, which sounds something like this: “Any straight line is a segment of a circle whose radius is equal to infinity.” Thus it turns out that linear thinking is part of nonlinear thinking
If a circle is compressed to a point, then it can easily become part of a straight line. Then nonlinear thinking is part of linear thinking.
Being in the linear mind, you limit yourself to its framework in the proportion under which the condition is met that a straight line can become part of a circle. Based on the above, this ratio is equal to infinity.
For example, even the most brilliant chess players are able to see the development of the game only a few moves ahead. This means that the moment you identify yourself with the linear mind, the basic useful information in this case is in the non-linear mind. When you are in a non-linear mind, you limit yourself to its boundaries in the proportion in which a point relates to the length of a line. This ratio is also equal to infinity, because a point has no dimensions.
For example, some famous thinkers and seers were extremely helpless in the so-called affairs of life. They are shown as such eccentrics. This means that the moment you identify with the non-linear mind, the main useful information is in the linear mind. Thus, it turns out that being in any of the minds means limiting yourself and your knowledge, and very significantly.
A logical, rational mind is more characteristic of a man. Imaginative irrational thinking is more characteristic of women. Therefore, being a man or a woman is a limitation of yourself and your perception of the world.
The only way to combine the linear and nonlinear ways of working of the Mind is to separate them into different planes. They must be perpendicular to each other. That is, the line - the axis - must pass through the center of the circle.
Then the line and the circle will touch each other only at one point, in the center of the circle. In this case, they simultaneously retain their infinity and intersect with each other. That is, linear and nonlinear minds can coexist without any suppression of each other.
So gradually we approached the unification of the masculine and feminine principles. Now it is clear why such a union is needed and what it carries with it. Only by being together and not suppressing each other, a man and a woman represent a real creative infinite Power. Because their minds - linear and non-linear - are united.
In conclusion, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that on earth there has always been a popular symbol where the phallus - the male penis - is placed in the center of a circle representing the vagina - the female genital organ. Such images, both in stone and in drawings, can be found in all corners of the planet. Once upon a time, people knew WHAT exactly this symbol meant. It seems that now the time for knowledge is coming again.
How to connect linear and nonlinear minds?
When a man enters a woman, it is essentially a circle and a line coming together. They are perpendicular to each other. To begin with, to answer the above question, begin to meditatively look at the point where the woman and man—the circle and the line—meet each other. This point does not belong to either a man or a woman, but to both of them and at the same time to none of them.
