Children's Week - Achievement - World of Warcraft. Children's Week Guide Capture the Flag
So mini guide how to get through quickly all quests and achievements of the annual festival (event) Children's week.
We have to run around with the orphan “pet” all the time. The event will be very interesting for pet lovers, because at this event you can get a very good number of new pets, and some will have to be hunted for up to 3 years. Because one NPC with 4 pets can only get one per year.
Quests - Children's Week, If you only have Hearthstone (the stone of return), then this guide is for you.
We start with Shattrath, having previously bound the stone in this city. Talking to Orphan Matron Mila, receiving an assignment from her Children's week together with the Draenei whistle (hereinafter referred to as SD) - Draenei children's whistle. We blow into SD and get 3 quests:
· Jill is in Sky Camp!- You need to blow into the SD in the Consortium camp, it’s given to the boy;
· Auchindoun and the Ritual Circle- Blow into the SD and approach the meeting stone in Auchindoun. We rent;
· Journey to the Dark Portal- Blow into the SD and approach the portal (from the Outland side). We rent.
Next we take both: Throne of the Naaru And Time to visit the Caves, use the stone of return and get achievement - Home Alone!
So here we are again Shattrath, from here we teleport to Stormwind where we are flying to Orphan Matron Nightingale and we get the quest together with the human whistle (hereinafter referred to as CH) - Children's whistle.
We blow in the midrange, we get three tasks (We do it one by one, depending on who you want):
· Ride to the Abyss- We fly to Goldshire, Sentinel Hill, blow in the midrange, get on a chopper, go for a ride. We rent;
· The largest diamond in the world!- Returning to Storm, we take the subway and go to Steel. There, in the king’s hall, we turn IMMEDIATELY left and go down under Ironforge, blow into the midrange, turn in the quest, return to Storm;
· Malfurion is back!- We get to the pier and board the lowest ship departing for Darnassus. We go to Malfurion (Standing in the Temple of the Moon), blow into the midrange, turn in the quest.
We get two achievements - Ice cream for children! and Let's fly a kite!.
In the Temple of the Moon there is a teleport to Exodar. Here we go to the center and go down to O"ros, after blowing into the SD. We hand over the quest to him and get the quest Call of the Soothsayer, which is done the same way in Exodar.
For now, let's leave the SD alone. If the XC rolled back ( stone of return), then use it, if not, teleport Exodar-Darnassus => Ship Darnassus-Storm.
Let's do both quests related to the SP, I advise you to start with Ice Cream, which you can buy from Baszil Iceweaver.
After which we get to Craggle Golovoderg, walks along the perimeter of the shopping district. We buy and fly kites. We hand over the quests to the SCH, take final quest Guardian of the Alliance, having bought a quest item from the same Craggle.
Next we head to the port, the path lies in Northrend. Let's get to Dalaran And We speak with the orphan guardian Aria.
We will have 2 quests to choose from, the passage will not change much, so I will not describe both lines.
Let's consider the task Ru, the orphan oracle.
So, after talking with the trustee and confirming that we are taking the oracle, we receive the Animal Whistle (hereinafter referred to as SJ).
We blow into the SJ, turn in the quest and get 3 in return:
· Childhood friends!- We do it first, despite the fact that we have to fly a long way. (Wolchers have an alternative - Childhood Friends!). We rent;
· Sanctuary of the Bronze Dragons- In the Dragonblight, we fly to the sanctuary, blow into the SG, watch the scene. We rent;
· Ru, the orphan oracle- We fly to the Grizzly Hills and blow into the SG in the Grizzly Maw (An alternative for wolfers is the House of the Bear People. We rent.
Then we get 2 more tasks: Dragon Queen- we do it first, returning from the gray hills;
Meeting with the Great- we fly to the Sholazar Basin using the teleport (place on the Teleport map) (an alternative to the wolfers is the Great Heming Earnestway, after the completion of which we still fly to that teleport).
We pass both quests. We get the latter A trip to "Wonderful Miracle". and leave it for now.
upd. First, you can complete the chain with the Oracle/Wolcher and in Dalaran, port to the Caves of Time (Portal in the Violet Citadel).
And so, here you go we are in the Angoro Crater. From here we fly to Tanaris to the Caves of Time. Inside buy a toy dragon from Alurmi and go deeper into the cave to Zaladorm (60, 57), blowing into the SD. We turn in the quest and take the last quest Return to the shelter.
Let's go back to the Lowlands via the teleport in Angoro, we're flying to Dalaran, we buy a Paper Airship, blow into the SG and use the item on the Oracle. Everyone is happy, let's take the last task Return to the shelter having handed over which we check the mail, we use stone of return.
Here it is, the finish line.
Handing over the quest Mila, the guardian of orphans, where our journey with one Stone of Return came to an end.
Good luck to everyone, although it is best to have a personal magician ^_^
Info from Wowhead's comments + a little added with additional text :) Good luck on your walk with the orphan).
I'm one of the biggest achievement hunters out there (otherwise why would I want to write this guide?), so I worked really hard on every requirement for The Long Strange Journey as soon as it came out, i.e. since update 3.0.2. I planned achievements in advance, I prepared and bought the necessary items just to get the meta achievement. And everything was fine... Exactly until a body moving at great speed (that is, me) collided with a stationary obstacle (that is, the School of Survival). And no matter how much physics teachers try to teach us to predict the position of given bodies, a moving body, when colliding with a stationary one, does not always remain moving in WoW.
For a whole year, the only thing that stood between me and my proto-dragon was that very achievement, the hatred for which never faded away. whole year expectations. And every year I come back to this achievement, and I have to think through it all over again. So let's accomplish it, friends, so that we no longer have to talk about this achievement in next year. Frankly, this is simply amazing and very, very happy holiday, but this single achievement spoils the whole impression.
The Children's Week meta achievement counts towards the main meta achievement of the holidays - A Long and Strange Journey, for completing which you will receive your funny and cute amethyst proto-dragon. In 2012, this holiday lasts from Sunday, April 29th to Saturday, May 5th.
Home alone
There are few achievements easier than this achievement. Just use the Hearthstone when the orphan is near you, and the achievement is yours. If you're a true sadist, you can lead an orphan through the terrifying sights of the Eastern Plaguelands, into the thick of battle on Tol Barad, to the ominous icy peaks of Icecrown or Winterspring, or (the best option so far) under the sea in Vashj'ir. Not that I loved it, I'm just saying you can.
Sometimes it happened that the achievement was broken - players received the achievement and immediately lost it after re-logging into the character. Don't worry if you have to repeat an achievement, it happens, but Blizzard is always pretty quick with their fixes.
The list of candies that you need to eat to get the Bad Example achievement is provided below. Just remember to call the orphan before you commit such a terrible atrocity. Cooks with a skill level of at least 350 will most likely receive this achievement much easier and cheaper than others.
- Strawberry ice cream Tigulya and Forora. The easiest way to buy this delicacy is from Children's Week sellers Emmet Hochm (Alliance) and Alovicius Chervik (Horde). Finding these NPCs is not difficult; they are located in the central quarters of Orgrimmar and Stormwind. If you are leveling up your character in Outland, you can buy ice cream from the tavern owner in Nagrand. You can also find a vendor at the race track in Thousand Needles, which is now...underwater. Fear not, Brivelwerp escaped by boat and is ready to sell you ice cream at coordinates 69.85. Lisa McKeever also sells treats in Stormwind, as well as Tastes IV, located on Horde airships.
- The Little Red Riding Hood Cupcake is sold by Aimi, a baked goods vendor in Dalaran. It is located near the northern bank of Dalaran.
- Dalaran Chocolate Cake is sold by Aimi.
- The Dalaran donut is also sold by Aimi.
- The delicious cake is sold at Aimi and you need it to cut yourself a piece of the delicious cake. Just right click on the cake and place it on the ground. Then right-click again, but on the cake placed on the ground and eat your piece of such an expensive delicacy.
- The delicious cupcake is made by Cooks with a skill of 350. You don't need to level up Cooking - just go to the auction and buy yourself this cupcake, although it will probably cost a lot during the holiday. To create, you need Simple flour, 2 pieces (easy to buy from any seller of culinary goods), as well as one Northrend egg. If you don't want to overpay for the reagent, because... it promises to increase in price for the holiday, just go to Northrend and kill any bird mob.
- A delicious chocolate cake can only be made if you have received the required recipe for completing Cooking daily tasks. Required skill - 1. To create, you need eight Plain Flour, four Ice Milk, four Herbs, eight Small Eggs, one Flask of Port and three Magorosa. If you don't want to farm reagents or don't have the recipe, you can simply buy the cake at the auction. But like the Appetizing Cupcake, the Cake promises to be very expensive.
Daily duties
Previously, you had to complete at least one daily quest every day to complete Daily Duties, but Blizzard quickly fixed that. Just call the orphan when you turn in tasks, and the achievement is yours. You don't even need to run around with the orphan while you complete the quests - he just needs to be standing next to you when you turn the quests back. The tasks you choose don’t matter at all, so don’t get too distracted and do those daily tasks that you already do or those that you consider the most convenient for yourself.
What a sweetie!
In the achievement What a cutie! you will need to get one of the non-combat Children's Week pets. Each Children's Week quest chain in Azeroth, Outland and Northrend will lead you to choose between several pets, and all you have to do is choose the pet you like. The quest chains themselves will not require much effort from you.
This question has been asked before, so I’ll hasten to clarify that yes, you can get more than one Children’s Week pet in one holiday. The fact is that you can only get one pet from one chain, and there are three of them. That is, you will have to choose between:
- Pig Collar, Rat Cage, Turtle in a Box and Snail Shell (new pet for 2011) when completing the Azeroth questline.
- With the Elekk Training Collar, Egbert's Egg, Dormouse Willy and Nogastic (a new pet for 2011) after completing the Outland quest chain.
- By the Curious Little Wolvar and the Curious Little Oracle after completing the Northrend quests.
So, in one year you can get 3 Children's Week pets. With the additions of 2011, it will take you 4 years to get all the pets. At the very end of the article there will be an achievement that is not required to get the meta, in which you need to get all the original Outland pets (without the 2011 pet).
Long live the king!
Long live the king! was much easier to complete during the Wrath of the Lich King, when many players had reasons to complete Utgarde Pinnacle. But let's face it - at level 85 you should totally be doing the dungeon with one or two friends, because... Killing on Normal and Heroic mode has no difference in achievement. In any case, don't forget to summon the orphan before the pull.
Survival School
Hatred. Hatred. Hatred.
I can't stand the achievement School of Survival, and I'm not alone in my beliefs. Throughout Children's Week, this achievement turns the Battlefields into chaos and confusion, where everyone plays for themselves. Even those who advocate achievement say it brings more stress than pleasure.
The School of Survival will require you to return the flag to Warsong Gulch, siege one of the bases in Arathi Basin, storm a tower in Alterac Valley, and capture the flag in the Eye of the Storm. This is all good, of course, but each of these tasks is a routine task on the Battlefield, but then legions of individualists come who only want to carry the flag or return it, and in no case be divided into other actions ( well, you know, in the interests of the team). All this adds up to turn any Battlefield into a terrible mess.
The best way to get the achievement would probably be to form a group of like-minded people who will take turns protecting each other while the person carries the flags. If this doesn't work out for you, all you can do is try and try - again, again, and so on until the miracle of miracles happens and you find yourself the first to return the fallen flag to Warsong Gulch or to survive after taking the tower in Alterac Valley. To be honest, there is no strategy for completing the achievement. And you certainly won't hear me say that it's generally better to wait while others are fighting in order to take the flag faster than those who are fighting and can't do anything. No, in no case will you hear such nasty things from me... Well, except perhaps the observation that it works.
In 2012, there are two things that, quite by chance, can make things easier for you.
- Unexpected help from players. Because Battlefields (as it happened historically) were very quickly populated by players wanting to complete this achievement, you can sometimes be so lucky that some players of the opposing faction will begin to help you. Some of the enemies will allow you to capture the base for a second if they see an orphan with you, and those who carry flags on Warsong Gulch may throw a flag for you. It is quite possible that you can get one or two requirements to achieve this way.
- Reduced competition. Many players have already received their achievement since it first appeared, so the competition has really dropped a lot and continues to drop every year. I don't mean to say that you won't fight at all, but you're unlikely to see your entire team with orphans when you get to one of the Battlegrounds.
Even taking into account the above factors, obtaining this achievement will still take you quite a lot of time. And besides the chance for the kindness of the players, you will probably at least once fall for a “evil wisher” who, taking advantage of your gullibility, will simply kill you when you do not expect it.
Either way, I feel like Blizzard didn't put a lot of effort into developing this particular achievement. PvE players have to go to the Battlefield without the necessary equipment, and not all PvE players will want to go to the Battlefield at all, and those who have just dressed up have almost no chance at all. The PvP player also remains at a loss, because he doesn't get any chance at good game throughout the week, because teamwork will simply be destroyed. And while I'm a big fan of Blizzard's achievement system, all I can say here is, "If you're trying to encourage players to complete Battlegrounds, you're on the wrong path."
Honored Nanny (does not count toward the meta achievement)
Children's Week in WoW is a seasonal event in which we must show the children of Azeroth all our love by leading them through danger and adventure. In general, teach them to be heroes. Children's Week achievements are required for the Long Strange Journey, which is rewarded with the Violet Proto-Dragon.
And the rewards for Children's Week itself are very, very good. The meta achievement gives us the title of Benefactor. Plus, we have a chance to see a lot of things in the world that we ourselves would simply not pay attention to. Ready for adventure? Then go ahead!
Children's Week Pets
To complete the Children's Week achievements, oddly enough, we will need a child. You can get a child of Azeroth by talking to, who is in Dalaran (49.4, 63.2). By completing quests or you can get the corresponding pets:
And also in Stormwind or in Orgrimmar. By completing the quests Guardian of the Alliance / Guardian of the Horde, respectively, you can get pets:
Children's Week Achievements
Let's move directly to the achievements.
The easiest achievement. We do exactly what is indicated in the description: next to the orphan we use the Stone of Return.
Required to complete 5 daily in the presence of an orphan. Any daily tasks count: from culinary to PvP tasks. The best way to achieve this achievement is by completing the daily quests of the Sons of Hodir. Since there you can take, complete and submit all five tasks at once. And you won't have to run far.
Please note that in the first days of the release of Children's Week, locations with daily events may well experience increased . Be careful =).
You need to perform some actions on the Battlefields. I recommend doing this achievement from the very beginning. The achievement is more difficult than it may seem at first. After all, besides you, there will be a whole bunch of people who want to capture flags and bases.
Capture the flag in
For this, it is best to stock up. Even if you are a rogue or druid and have personal boosters, still take this potion. I highly recommend it too. Using this potion will save you from sudden stuns and slowdowns when you have already reached the finish line. It's simple:
- Let's run to the flag
- Drinking the Potion of Freedom of Action
- Take the flag
- Drink Speed Potion
- Let's run to the base
Oh yes, I forgot to say that most likely all 30 people playing on the Oka will be standing in the flag area at this time and trying to take it. =)
Attack one of the bases
We look at the map and find a base captured by the enemy, we run there. If representatives of the hostile faction are not visible nearby, then we capture the point and get + to the achievement. The strategy of capturing Stables/Farms can be extremely effective. But you better prepare for unflattering words addressed to you from a PvP pro =)
Take the tower by storm
Considering HOW MUCH competitors you'll have, it's a matter of luck. Try to ride from the base next to the paladin to be affected by the accelerating aura. Look on the map to see where the bulk of the players are heading, and choose the tower with the fewest potential invaders. Rogues and druids can easily sneak into an enemy base and capture a tower there.
Return the fallen flag to
In order to cope with this task, you will have to forget about the meat in the center. We run close to our base, fight off enemies, wait for the enemy to take your flag. As soon as the flag is taken, we go to intercept. All classes, including , need to stay close to the flag bearer. Already at a low level of health, we begin to frantically right-click on the flag bearer. This will allow you to raise the flag immediately after killing an enemy.
It might even make sense to create a , which will allow the enemy to take the flag, and then take it away.
To complete this Children's Week achievement, you need to eat a whole bunch of sweets near the orphan. You'll have to run a little.
- Tigul and Foror's strawberry ice cream can be bought from Alovicius Czervik in Orgrimmar (stands at the bank) or from Emmet Hochm in Stormwind (stands near the inn)
- Aimi in Dalaran sells Dalaran Donuts, Dalaran Cakes, Little Red Riding Hood Cupcakes and Delicious Cake Pieces
- A delicious cupcake and a delicious chocolate cake are created.
The recipe for a Delicious Chocolate Cake is obtained with a small chance when completing a culinary daily challenge. That's why the best solution will have the cake baked by experienced culinary friends who know the recipe.
Important: You can raise some good money if you purchase/farm in time the following reagents needed for a Delicious Chocolate Cake:
Children's Week is one of the seasonal gaming events in the world of World of Warcraft. It takes place annually and is associated with guardianship and trusteeship. In 2016, the holiday will take place from April 29 to May 5, and we present you a guide to this event.
Orphans of Children's Week
The main idea of the holiday is based on the care of orphans from orphanage– all tasks and achievements of Children’s Week are dedicated to this.
Alliance and Horde players complete three quest chains with orphans - two factional and 1 neutral. The chains begin with the following NPCs.
- Orgrimmar (orch): Guardian of the orphans of Battleveil
- Shattrath City (Blood Elf): Orphan Matron Mila
- Stormwind (human): Orphan Matron Nightingale
- Shattrath City (Draenei): Orphan Matron Mila
Neutral:
- Dalaran (Wolver/Oracle): Orphan Matron Aria
As a reward for each chain, players will be able to receive one pet. You can read more about satellites in the section.
Children's Week Achievements
During the holiday, players can receive 7 regular achievements and 1 Children's Week meta achievement.
A simple achievement that requires you to acquire any of the 10 Children's Week pet companions by completing any quest chain with the orphan. You can read about all the holiday pets below in the section.
To complete this achievement, you will need to participate in battles on the battlefields and complete certain tasks in the presence of an orphan:
- Return the flag to the base in Warsong Gulch
- Capture the tower in Alterac Valley
- Bring the Eye of the Storm flag to your base
- Capture the base in Arathi Basin
Please note that you must perform all of the above actions yourself; simply being nearby will not give you an achievement.
You need to eat 7 listed dishes in the presence of the orphan. Where to get this food:
- Little Red Riding Hood Cupcake, Dalaran Donut, Dalaran Chocolate Brownie, Delicious Piece of Cake* - Sold by Aimi in Dalaran.
- Tigul and Foror's strawberry ice cream - sold by Lisa McKeever in Stormwind and in the Vkusomatic IV machine on Horde airships.
- Appetizing cupcake and Delicious chocolate cake - created by culinary specialists.
*To get a Piece of Delicious Cake, you need to purchase a Delicious Cake from Aimee, place the dish with it on the ground and take a piece from there.
Players need to complete 5 daily quests in the presence of the orphan. It is not necessary to take him with you to all tasks; it is enough to call the orphan before submitting the task.
One of the easiest achievements of Children's Week. Just use the Hearth Stone. While the orphan is with you.
For this achievement you need to kill King Ymiron in Utgard Summit in the presence of the orphan. The achievement can be completed in both the normal and heroic versions of the dungeon.
The most difficult achievement of Children's Week. To complete it you will need no less than 3 years! You need to collect three pets with one character: Egbert, Willie and Nut. But you can only get one pet each year!
Meta achievement for Children's Week, to obtain which you must complete all the above achievements. As a reward, players will receive the title Benefactor (male characters) or Benefactor (female characters). The achievement “All the best goes to the children” is required for another meta achievement “A Long and Strange Journey”.
Children's Week Pets
Children's Week presents the widest selection of pets for collection - this holiday allows you to get 10 pets at once. However, do not rush to rejoice: each year you can only get 3 companions (one from each list).
