The lotion, which fights the manifestations of hyperpigmentation, consists of 50 ml of vodka, whipped raw egg white, squeezed juice from a whole lemon and 4 ml of glycerin. All this is mixed and the resulting liquid is wiped over the areas of the face where freckles are concentrated.
• The fight against wrinkles and sagging facial skin will become much more effective if your arsenal of skin care products contains a cream with glycerin and vitamin E. Numerous positive reviews speak in favor of these products. To prepare the cream, you just need to add the contents of ten capsules of vitamin E (known as “Aevit”) to a bottle of glycerin (25 grams). You need to smear your face with this mixture before going to bed, leaving it on for 40 minutes to an hour.

Please note: homemade glycerin-based creams and lotions are recommended to be stored in the refrigerator so that they do not lose their properties.

Can glycerin be harmful?

Any skin care product that contains it should be kept on the face for a strictly defined amount of time and not left on all night, wanting to achieve a magical effect immediately.

Is it possible to draw an unambiguous conclusion about its exceptional benefits or harm? Probably not. When using this product for skin care, you must adhere to the “golden” rule: moderation and reasonableness. Only in this case can glycerin really be useful; it will help restore skin health, restore its elasticity and natural color.

Glycerin has long been known for its skin softening and moisturizing properties. In fact, glycerin is a simple trihydric alcohol. It tastes sweet, but in itself is colorless and has neither smell nor taste.

I decided to study the properties of glycerin in more detail after I bought myself a dishwashing detergent containing this component. I became interested in it after I began to notice that after washing dishes with this product, my hands no longer dry out as before, but on the contrary, they become softer and smoother. After this, I was surprised to discover that glycerin is included in many skin care creams. It can also be bought at the pharmacy in the form of an ointment and used instead of hand cream for the face. But is it really that useful?

If a woman wants to moisturize her facial skin, then there is nothing better than glycerin for this purpose! Here are just some of its useful properties:

Skin moisturizing: glycerin has the property of absorbing moisture from the atmosphere and then attracting it to the skin;

Softening and whitening the skin: it’s not for nothing that many manufacturers add glycerin to their soap. It can soften the skin and also promote a slight whitening effect;

Pore ​​cleansing: able to remove dirt and toxins from pores;

Smoothing wrinkles: since glycerin moisturizes the skin, it fills small wrinkles with moisture, and this helps to visually smooth out wrinkles;

Treatment of skin diseases: glycerin as an antiseptic can help heal wounds and cuts on the face;

Skin protection: glycerin creates a dome of moisture absorbed by it, protecting the upper layers of the skin from microbes.

But besides the benefits, glycerin can also have negative consequences for human skin:

Glycerin can draw moisture from the skin if the optimal ratio of this component with others is disrupted in the cosmetic products that contain it;

Creates a sticky feeling for some time after application. So before going outside, it is better to refrain from applying glycerin to your face, as particles of dirt and dust may stick to it;

Contributes to the aggravation of skin problems - can lead to the formation of comedones on very sensitive skin;

Not compatible with silicone - if combined, teeth and peeling may occur;

May lighten the skin too much due to too much melanin leaching;

It can cause allergies in some people.

Ever since I learned about the beneficial properties of liquid glycerin for the skin, I have been trying to make myself face masks based on this component. There are many different recipes with glycerin depending on the skin type and the final goal of the procedure. For example, I have dry skin. Therefore, most often I use the following recipe:

First, I thoroughly beat the yolk, then add ten grams of glycerin and five milliliters of water. I beat thoroughly again. I apply this mask to my face and leave it on for twenty minutes. After this, you can wash it off with water and enjoy the effect of smooth, slightly brightened, velvety skin!

For a refreshing face mask, you can use another recipe:

mix in one bowl ten grams of glycerin, one raw chicken egg, one tablespoon of heavy cream, two hundred and fifty milliliters of vodka, lemon juice. Apply the finished mask to your face for twenty minutes, then rinse with warm water. You can make it for future use, as this composition keeps well in the refrigerator for several days.
