Whatever one may say, shining makeup is primarily associated with the holiday, so we won’t get into an armored car, but rather tell you how to use glitter in a unique way. Let’s make a reservation right away: we didn’t go too small and specifically chose noticeable sparkles, but those who are modest can replace the glitter with pearlescent shadows and lipsticks. Developing our desire to photograph “real” people, we invited the DJ duo Maiden Obey - Dasha Utochka and Nastya Pilepchuk, who know very well what it means to shine, to act as models.

Even glitter, which looks bright in a jar, gives almost no tint to the skin, so the color base must be painted separately. Nastya (on the left) has a suitable eyelid shape for drawing geometric shapes on it, which is what we did with a blue pencil. The glitters themselves are easiest to glue onto Vaseline or lip gloss; If you don't rub your face, they will last all evening. Dasha (on the right) has holographic sparkles, they catch and reflect light so beautifully that we decided to do without a colored base and apply them as if the wind had knocked shining tears to her temples.

How to do it:(Nastya) foundation, Bourjois Metallic Eyeliner pencil, Vaseline, small blue glitter Severina, INGLOT, Make Up For Ever or similar, cool-toned highlighter; (Dasha) foundation, holographic glitter, Vaseline, mascara.

The easiest option for those who know almost nothing is to distribute glitter over the entire face or one part of it. Without a doubt, it is the most spectacular - depending on the glitter material, it can sparkle like diamond dust or at least shimmer like scales. You will have to apply Vaseline again, but for walking outside, such makeup will even be a help - your face will definitely not become chapped. Let us add that it is easier not to pick up small and light glitter on a brush and then transfer it to the face, but to pour it into a folded album sheet and blow it onto the skin. Larger ones, like Nastya’s, will still have to be glued by hand.

As we already know, makeup is not just a painted face. A painted and shiny neck, in our opinion, looks beautiful and festive, and sparkles in the parting can decorate even the most simple hairstyle. Again, glitter will not add tint to the skin, so first you need to apply eye shadow (we chose blue, but any will do), and then glitter. For durability, it is also better to apply a little Vaseline to the parting and glue glitter on it. It’s more difficult with your hands: it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to avoid touching anything with them, so instead of glitter, we suggest painting them with long-lasting cream shadows and, before they harden, rub glitter into them. Particularly brave people can paint their skin with chrome graffiti paint - it certainly won’t wash off in one evening.

We also already talk about modern culture’s fascination with the 90s. In makeup, it is reflected, for example, in irony over the favorite technique of that time - the use of light lipstick and a contrasting contour pencil. Of course, this makeup cannot be called classic, but we see no reason for self-confident girls not to repeat it. We offer the most uncompromising option: a neat black lip liner, silver shadows and several large glitters to match for greater shine. A similar option, but more modest, is to simply stick glitter on lips powdered with matching shadows. We chose copper ones; at a certain angle they blend into the skin and make it simply shine.

Large, curly glitter has great potential: you can stick them on in a chaotic manner and everything will look just right. We decided to scatter them across the cheeks in the manner of freckles (they have become very popular this year, and some brands have even released “special” pencils to imitate them). You can make them smaller by gluing them onto the moving eyelid and lips. if it is more convenient to work with your fingers, lay out sparkling particles with them;
if not, take a brush, a very easy-to-use flat brush made of natural bristles;
before bringing the material to the eyelid, shake off the excess by tapping the brush on the edge of the jar;
then using patting movements, as if driving glitter into the area above the eyes, this helps avoid shedding;
just in case, keep a tissue under your eyelid in case there is any excess left.

Advice! If glitter does spill out, construction tape can come to your aid; it can easily collect all the excess. The regular one works a little worse, after which you will need to apply concealer again. You can also remove excess with a regular brush.

If you don’t want to bother with glitter, but still want to shine, shimmer is perfect. To ensure that the working material does not crumble and the color is bright, moisten the applicator in water or a fixative, and then soak it in a pigmented beauty product.
