Conversation “The history of the Christmas tree decoration”
One new year gives way to another. And the New Year's Eve is not complete without a beautiful green Christmas tree. And the Christmas tree needs to be decorated with New Year's toys. All Christmas decorations whole year waiting to be taken out of the box and hung on the Christmas tree. But I’ll tell you a secret that Christmas tree decorations also have their own history.
The very first toys were made by ourselves. The tree was also decorated with vegetables from the garden, which, of course, were silvered and gilded; they were very expensive and only a few could afford. Today, the green beauty of the Christmas tree is not decorated with vegetables, but beautiful multi-colored balls are hung. And there was a time when the Christmas tree was not decorated with toys at all. There were all sorts of delicious sweets on the tree: nuts, candies, gingerbread, apples - each country has its own New Year's decoration. The children really enjoyed cutting something tasty from the tree! Glass jewelry has only recently appeared. If you believe the legend, this happened purely by accident.
Once upon a time there lived a master glassblower. And when it was time to decorate the Christmas tree, it turned out that he had no money for either candy or nuts. But could he leave his children without a holiday? The master thought, thought and came up with an idea. He waited until the children fell asleep, he took up his usual work and blew all kinds of toys out of glass: candies, gingerbread cookies, apples - they all sparkled, shimmered and sparkled. The children were not even upset that these sweets could not be eaten. This idea of the master was so successful that it soon became a tradition.
In Rus', the first Christmas tree decorations were made from rags, straw, colored ribbons, and later from paper and foil.

Proverbs and sayings about snow
A lot of snow - a lot of bread, a lot of water - a lot of grass.
No matter how you wash, you will not be whiter than snow.
If it blows snow, bread will arrive; the water will spill and there will be hay.
It’s not the snow that’s blowing, but the snow that’s coming from above.
White snow on black ground suits your face.
The snow is deep - the year is good.
If there was a snowball, we'd roll it up into a ball.
Whiter than white.
There is no snow and no trace.
If you keep snow on the fields in winter, you will have bread in the fall.
The snow will cover everything.
The snow is cold and provides protection from the cold.
More forest - more snow, more snow - more bread.
More snow in the fields means more bread in the bins.
Snow is the earth's nurse - a warm casing.

STORIES FOR CHILDREN ABOUT THE NEW YEAR
Georgy Skrebitsky "Winter Cold"
A cold, dim sun rises in the winter fog. The snowy forest sleeps. It seems that all living things have frozen from this cold - not a sound, only occasionally the trees crackle from the frost.
I go out into a forest clearing. Behind the clearing is a thick old spruce forest. All the trees are covered with large cones. There were so many cones that the ends of the branches bent under their weight.
How quiet! In winter you won't hear birds singing. Now they have no time for songs. Many flew south, and those that remained huddled in secluded corners, hiding from the bitter cold.
Suddenly, like a spring breeze, there was a rustle over the frozen forest: a whole flock of birds, cheerfully calling to each other, flew over the clearing. But these are crossbills - natural northerners! They are not afraid of our frosts.
Crossbills clung to the tops of the fir trees. The birds grabbed the cones with tenacious claws and pulled out delicious seeds from under the scales. When the pine cone harvest is good, these birds are not threatened by the lack of food in winter. They will find food for themselves everywhere.
I stood in the clearing and watched the crossbills fussing about in their airy dining room.
The morning sun brightly illuminated the green tops of fir trees, clusters of ruddy cones and cheerful, feasting birds. And it seemed to me that spring had already come. Now the smell of thawed earth will smell, the forest will come to life and, meeting the sun, the birds will chirp.
While admiring the crossbills, I suddenly saw how one of them, flying up to an old spruce tree, disappeared into the snow-covered branches, as if it had slipped into a snow cave. And then I remembered one remarkable feature from the life of these birds, a feature that I could never believe. But now I have a chance to check it out for myself.
Stealthily, I approached that spruce tree and climbed up the trunk. Sharp needles scratched my face and arms, but I climbed higher and higher.
The top is already close, but there is nothing on the tree.
I began to descend and suddenly, right in front of me, I saw the very thing that I no longer expected to find: among the icy, snow-covered branches, a small nest was barely visible, and in it, as if in spring, fluffing up with concern, sat a greenish bird - a female crossbill.
With an awkward movement, I shook the branch. The frightened bird fluttered. I leaned over and froze in amazement: newly hatched, completely naked chicks were swarming in the nest.
Snow-covered branches hung just above the nest. In the forest, the trees were cracking from the frost, but here, between the branches of the old spruce, it was as if spring had already arrived: a caring mother was hatching her chicks.
I quickly got down from the tree so as not to disturb this amazing family. I easily jumped into the snow, looked around, and the winter forest no longer seemed to me, as before, gloomy and lifeless.
Standing under a tree, I rubbed my numb hands in woolen mittens, laughed at myself and kept thinking about the naked babies in the nest, who are not afraid of the winter cold.

Result:
During the implementation of the project and its results, both positive and negative aspects were identified. Parents (64.3%) and children actively responded to the offer to participate in the project. They showed interest, brought family Christmas tree decorations, talked about toys passed down from generation to generation, and made toys with their own hands. Children looked at the Christmas tree decorations with pleasure, created toys themselves and together with their parents, became interested in Russian holiday traditions, etc. But not all parents showed interest and took an active part (35.7%). Many people do not know about New Year's traditions, signs, features; most are in no hurry to make New Year's toys and have never done so, but prefer to buy them in the store. It was not possible to attract specialists.
