Self-hypnosis - how does it work? The simplest technique of self-hypnosis Self-hypnosis and self-hypnosis.
Self-hypnosis: how to improve yourself? Its effect has been proven by official science. What are the possibilities of this phenomenon?
What is autosuggestion? What significance does it have for human life?
Self-hypnosis (autosuggestion) is a process of suggestion addressed to oneself, in which the subject and object of the suggestive influence coincide.
It is based on the introduction into the subconscious of certain verbal attitudes and mental images that affect the work of consciousness, change the properties of a person’s mind, his character and life.
Self-hypnosis has enormous potential.
As is known and recognized by official science, the subconscious does not make a difference between what really happens and what a person imagines. Thus, in the case of the reality of a dream, for the subconscious it is just as real as the processes and things in material life!
Self-hypnosis leads to an increase in the level of coordination between the psyche and the body, which allows a person to evoke certain sensations in himself and control the processes of attention, memory, character traits, personality, and even influence the surrounding space!
Self-hypnosis: enormous opportunities for human life!
Autosuggestion is produced in order to achieve a change in change mental state human development, development of superpowers, improvement of character, health and body functions through regularly repeated exercises.
To introduce attitudes into the subconscious, special autogenic training is used.
What is autogenic training?
Autotraining¹ is a special self-hypnosis with which you can use the hidden mechanisms of the subconscious. It is somewhat reminiscent of hypnosis, with the difference that to “hypnotize” yourself using self-hypnosis, you need a longer time and constant practice
Huge opportunities open up for a person not only to correct his character, but also to develop extrasensory superpowers!
For example, with the help of hypnosis you can suggest anything to a person. Scientists once conducted the following experiment: during one of the sessions, a certain person was introduced into a state of hypnotic sleep.
He was told that his body was made of steel. Then, using special equipment, 2 concrete slabs were placed on it, which special people hit with hammers. And nothing happened to the human body!
A similar effect can be achieved with the help of auto-training: it just involves a self-programming mechanism², which usually takes more time.
But even if you don’t set a goal to make yourself a “steel” body, the possibilities of autogenic training are incredibly high: even diseases can be treated with its help!
Effective autosuggestion is promoted by:
- immersion in an altered state of consciousness (trance);
- high ;
- developed imagination.

What do we know about the power of self-hypnosis? Do we often repeat phrases out loud or silently to inspire ourselves with the desired character traits? Let us remember that self-hypnosis is the work of our subconscious, we process words and mental images, thus making them more real.
Rice. Self-hypnosis - how does it work?
Some people do not believe in the power of self-hypnosis because they have not tried to put the method into action. In reality, the power of suggestion operates every day when we instill negative thoughts and emotions into ourselves. Agree, this is much easier than instilling something positive in yourself.
Self-hypnosis - what to do to make it work?
The mental phrases you say to yourself should sound in the first person, affirmatively. Do not use the negative particle “not” under any circumstances. You cannot say “I don’t drink”; instead, repeat: “I lead a sober lifestyle.” Phrases are distinguished by their short content; internal monologue is inappropriate here. When you say a wish, imagine it as if it were coming true. Thus, you visualize what you want.
The power of persuasion is more effective when the body is completely relaxed, then it is easier for it to accept your internal messages. Do not forget that self-hypnosis really only works when you want to achieve a specific goal, thereby focusing attention on the settings for the subconscious.
There are many methods of self-hypnosis. Among them are the following: psychological attitude, affirmation, meditative techniques, visualization. It depends only on you which method is right for you.
This is repeating phrases silently or out loud. You tell yourself that you have achieved your desired goal. For example: I’m doing well, I have a job I love, I feel great. Because of affirmations, good thoughts will gradually replace negative ones, and as a result, everything you repeat to yourself will come true.
Another method of self-hypnosis. The point is to mentally imagine and experience imaginary events. This method is effective because our mind does not distinguish between real and imaginary events. Visualization should always be positive. For example, your desire is to purchase new home. Imagine how you see a new house for the first time, open the door, look around the corridor, go into other rooms.
These two methods work best when your mind is in a calm state. Focus on your goal while you rest. The best time is before bed, when your mind is completely relaxed and ready to perceive new information.
Meditation helps you delve deeper into your subconscious. The most important thing is. The essence of this method is as follows: first you need to determine your goals, then enter a state of emptiness and feel them in yourself. If everything is done correctly, then after leaving the state of emptiness, the suggested attitudes will remain in the subconscious.

Self-hypnosis is the process of a person independently carrying out the required suggestion in a state of hypnotic trance, immersion into which takes place without the participation of a hypnotist using specially developed techniques. Self-hypnosis is an effective procedure that allows a person to renounce the vanity of life and get rid of psycho-emotional stress.

Do you know what a spasm is? This is the main cause of premature death of people on planet Earth. Hypertension, angina pectoris, coronary artery disease are spasms of the cardiovascular system. Gastritis, ulcers are spasms of the digestive tract. Headache, migraine, bronchial asthma, neurodermatitis, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, fibroids...

Unexpected life situations everyone normal person cause a state of increased combat readiness of the entire organism. Doctors call this condition mental stress. The thing itself is normal, but it is very similar to testing a pipeline under increased pressure: “where it’s thin, it breaks.” This is why mental stress in weakened or worn-out people often leads to unconscious muscle spasms that impair the blood supply to certain areas. internal organs. This feature was noticed by Sechenov, who wrote about the direct connection between mental activity and muscle tension.
Autogenic training is the process of developing skills to neutralize this connection, or, in simple terms, learning the art of instant relaxation.
So, we need to discern the link connecting thought and action. It turns out that our emotion plays this role. Actually, the psychological stress that we talked about above is such a big emotion that it does not fit in the body. In a normal situation, it is like fire in the hearth. The warmed mind receives the tone, modality and direction of thoughts, formalizes them into motor commands that are correct from the point of view of the instinct of self-preservation. In a hypertrophied state, emotion seems to jump over the mind, trying to directly control a person’s muscles. Fire! People, when overwhelmed by this state, step out of windows. The auto-training procedure is designed to teach you to instantly curb the emotional tsunami that is ready to hit you, without allowing the purring light to turn into a roaring flame. In addition, the "urban jungle", which is an aggressive environment for any normal psyche, requires protective equipment. Any “second nature” implies a “second man” who differs from the first, that is, natural, by additional adaptations. One of them is auto-training. When a person is physically relaxed, the body receives additional resources for recovery, and when he knows how to become a “vegetable,” he transfers his psyche and idiotic status, where it easily reboots, returning to its “factory settings.”
The first, and also the last question: is it possible to master autogenic training techniques on your own? Answer: in this world, everything is possible, but it has become a stable practice that, before building bridges or flying into space, people enter universities, where, under the guidance of a bunch of teachers, they build up the required competencies. The area of the human psyche is a cosmos even purer than what we guess when we look at the stars. Here you have to be an astronaut, not a cowboy. And yet, there are those who want to master auto-training on their own.
Hypnotherapists have long recognized this peculiarity of the influence of sound on our psyche. Due to the fact that in autogenic training you cannot use your own voice (the spoken text will always be a product of the activity of the left hemisphere, responsible for semantics, and the goal of autogenic training is precisely to lull this hemisphere to sleep) they act as a loudspeaker. It will be easy for you to follow the commands you hear.

How is this done?
❶ First of all, you need to understand the goal. You need a thought that makes you want to act. The goal must necessarily lie somewhere beyond animal instincts, but at the same time it must represent the possibility of obtaining something. The main thing here is selfishness. Don't care about anyone. No excuses to anyone: I just want to get it.
❷ Internal dialogue: Why waste energy? What will I buy after auto-training? What will I lose if the goal is achieved?
❸ We fixate on the image of how I imagine myself. We play out seven situations in our heads where my new qualities are most clearly manifested. We remove the locks from the sheds where your feelings languish, because situations need to be experienced full program. You may even have to get used to the role.
❹ If repeated testing in real life shows that your reactions have not changed, then you need to look for interference. It may be a forgotten psychotrauma that needs to be treated with the help.

Somnambulism (deep stage of hypnosis) is a mode of brain operation in which all mental forces are subordinated to one idea or feeling. The criterion for achieving this state can be considered amnesia (memory loss) and hallucinations (with eyes closed).
For therapeutic purposes, “light somnambulism” is usually used - the middle stage of hypnosis (two points according to Katkov, the level of eyelid catalepsy in Elman’s induction), but even this level of immersion will require courage. It will be necessary to give up everyday fears about hypnosis (“they will turn you into zombies, they will break your psyche”) and think about why the two-century practice of using hypnosis in medicine has not led to licensing of hypnotherapeutic activities? Having answered this question within yourself, think about the purpose of going into somnambulism. Do you want to get rid of a psychosomatic illness or just experience the feeling of hypnotic nirvana? Both are good, but in the first case you need to be prepared for the fact that familiar symptoms will arise at some stage. After all, you want to get rid of them? Then, while listening to the recording, you will have to not only put up with them, but also hold on to them and even savor them. This is necessary so that the process of therapy can begin in the free layers of the psyche that you have uncovered.
Please use audio recordings freely. You can turn on any of them from the place where you can surrender to the surging emotions: sob excitedly, and laugh convulsively, and have hysterics, and express thoughts out loud. You can use both tracks alternately, switching from the first to the second or vice versa as soon as any obstacle arises. The main thing is not to forget that this is not a treatment, but a “tester” - a game of hypnotherapy. The hypnostimulator is designed to create an advertising and propaganda effect so that you become more serious about the possibilities of hypnotherapy. Therefore, the smoothing or even complete disappearance of painful symptoms should not mislead you - you simply have the opportunity to make sure that hypnotherapy is indicated for you. Now you know for sure that you should make an appointment with a live specialist to undergo a full course of treatment.

Self-hypnosis techniques
The technique of immersion in the world of the unconscious makes it possible to focus on the analysis of the existing problem, systematize and categorize existing thoughts, identify and differentiate the sources of troubles and difficulties. The technique of self-hypnosis is a universal tool that allows you to gain personal freedom, act to achieve your goals, taking into account your own interests, acquire independent thinking, gain self-esteem and take steps towards personal growth.
The self-hypnosis technique can be used in any situation and at any time; to perform the immersion, it does not matter where the person is: alone or among a huge crowd of people. The ability to conduct self-hypnosis is the achievement of consistent and regular personal practice aimed at acquiring the skills to enter a trance state through autogenic immersion. The technique of self-hypnosis is close in its essence and effects to meditation techniques, methods of auto-training, and reading prayers.
The more, longer and harder a person practices self-hypnosis techniques, the faster he manages to plunge into a hypnotic trance. The longer the practice, the easier it becomes to engage and respond to established “anchors” - certain stimuli that act as a trigger for the reflex to fall into half-asleep. The more hours spent honing the skill of self-hypnosis, the faster and simpler man achieves relaxation, concentration, a feeling of confidence and calm. Mastering the technique of self-hypnosis means acquiring the conscious, controlled and controlled ability to independently immerse yourself in a hypnotic trance and seize the opportunity to realize the diverse phenomena characteristic of the drowsy state.
Benefits of self-hypnosis
Self-hypnosis techniques are completely harmless to mental health and are considered the most effective mechanism of self-influence for regulating psycho-emotional processes. Self-hypnosis techniques work just as effectively and with a similar depth of immersion as sessions conducted by a hypnotherapist.
Thanks to the skills of self-hypnosis, a person takes the reins of control over the physiological processes of his own body, gaining the opportunity to overcome critical situations without damage to the psyche. Self-immersion in a trance makes it possible to introduce new or make adjustments to existing subconscious brain programs, to regulate the initially involuntary functions of the central and autonomic nervous system. The state of hypnotic trance is useful, first of all, because in such half-asleep the door opens for influencing the subconscious. Being between sleep and wakefulness, a person gets rid of strict control of consciousness, gets the opportunity to focus his attention on the existing problem, consider the situation from different angles, and find new ways to solve problems.
As a result of carrying out self-hypnosis in a special state of the sphere of consciousness during self-hypnosis, the individual gets a real chance:
- become less susceptible to stressors;
- free yourself from worries and doubts;
- eliminate symptoms of depression;
- get rid of mood swings and achieve emotional stability;
- develop confidence and achieve adequate self-esteem;
- increase initiative and strengthen motivation;
- gain psychological endurance;
- optimize your behavior;
- free yourself from timidity and shyness;
- overcome psychological and physical dependence on alcohol, drugs, smoking.
Mastering self-hypnosis techniques makes it possible to:
- prevent insidious diseases;
- stimulate the body’s internal resources for self-healing and healing;
- independently stabilize blood pressure;
- eliminate insomnia and get a quality night's sleep;
- regulate the functions of the endocrine system;
- slow down or speed up your heart rate;
- get rid of neurological defects;
- normalize body weight;
- eliminate painful sensations.
With the help of self-hypnosis, a person can improve the quality of communication, normalize family relationships, discover their talents and develop creative inclinations, and improve cognitive functions. Self-hypnosis techniques are successfully used to fruitfully work on changing one’s character, getting rid of fixation on a certain event of the past, and rapid personal growth. Such techniques are in demand and effective for eliminating the problem of fatigue and increasing working capacity. By using self-hypnosis, you can program your brain to achieve victory in competitions and success in the film industry, to develop unique technical solutions or create masterpieces in literature and fine arts.

The process of self-hypnosis
On average, a session of self-immersion into a trance and carrying out suggestion takes from 15 to 20 minutes. The self-hypnosis technique involves sequentially performing five steps:
- Step 1. Personal development of a decision to carry out independent suggestion, determining the scope and direction of influence, establishing the final goal. For example: as a result of a clear and harmonious interaction between consciousness and subconscious, I acquire the positive habit of not smoking, I give up smoking once and for all.
- Step 2. Activities for complete muscle relaxation and mental relaxation.
- Step 3. Putting yourself into a hypnotic trance state called key induction.
- Step 4. Implementation of the chosen program through the inculcation of certain verbal attitudes, mental creation and visualization of the desired image of oneself.
- Step 5.“Awakening”, leaving a state of hypnotic trance. Subsequent consolidation of the attitude in practice by making real efforts to transform one’s personality.
Let us describe the above steps of self-hypnosis in more detail.
Stage 1. We study and analyze our current state. We form a personal assessment of the current state of affairs. We explore physical resources and mental reserves to change the situation. We clearly formulate the ultimate goal of the self-hypnosis session.
For example: “Now I have an unnatural bad habit - smoking. This craving deprives me of my health, takes away my money, and stupefies my brain. My body has all the necessary resources to overcome smoking. I'm ready to give up on this bad habit. I am determined to quit smoking and am ready to make efforts to get rid of my addiction. My goal is to become smoke-free."
Stage 2. The goal of this step is to achieve complete relaxation.
- We are looking for a secluded and calm place where we can be completely alone, where strangers will not distract us with their unexpected appearance.
- We dim the light in the room. There should be enough lighting so that we can read without straining our eyes. However, the light should not be bright, annoying, or distracting from contemplation.
- For fans of classical music, you can play calm, gentle instrumental melodies quietly.
- We sit comfortably in the chair. Place the text to be read on your lap.
- To achieve muscle relaxation, we perform the exercise in a sitting position. We try to tense all the muscles as much as possible, record our sensations for a few seconds and then relax all the muscles. You can take several deep breaths in and out.
Stage 3. We begin to immerse ourselves in a hypnotic trance. To achieve the desired state during self-hypnosis, read aloud a prepared text. It is necessary to read at a slow pace, taking long pauses at the end of the logical construction. We highlight key words and phrases with our voice (when composing the text, they can be underlined or written in a different color). The main thing for us is not just to say the words, but to give each component of the sentence an image, to think about the content of what is written.
To immerse yourself in a trance, you can use various ready-made texts or create your own story. The following tip may be useful for those beginning to practice self-hypnosis.
“I walk into a beautiful, modern high-rise building. I approach the new elevator, dazzlingly sparkling with a metallic sheen. I confidently and calmly enter the luxurious and spacious elevator cabin. I look at my reflection in the mirror. I'm relaxed and calm. I feel completely safe. I press the panel button, choosing the tenth floor for travel. The elevator glides slowly down the high shaft. A quiet melodious sound is heard. I watch carefully as the floor signs light up. With each new floor I relax more and more and fall asleep.
One... The elevator starts moving. My muscles are completely relaxed.
Two... I rise higher. I feel lightness and serenity.
Three…. When the elevator car stops, I will go into a deep trance.
Four... I feel peace and serenity.
Five... I continue to watch the movement. My eyes remain open to helpful suggestions.
Six... I'm rising higher and higher. My body is completely relaxed.
Seven... I feel deep relaxation. I'm completely safe.
Eight... I rise higher and higher. I allow myself to fall into a state of hypnosis.
Nine... I'm reaching my goal. I'm going into hypnosis.
Ten... The elevator car opens. I walk with confidence. I'm in a cozy spacious room. I sit down in a comfortable chair. I feel comfortable and calm. I open my notebook and start reading...”
Stage 4. Having entered a state of hypnotic trance, we move on to the main part of self-hypnosis: carrying out suggestion. While maintaining calm and focused attention, we read the actual text of the suggestion.
When drawing up formulas for self-hypnosis, you should follow the following rules:
- We write all statements in the first person singular.
- We formulate all speech patterns in the present tense.
- We write expressions in the form of an affirmative sentence, without using a negative particle.
- Each postulate for self-hypnosis should be short, concise and carry a complete thought.
- All designs should be pleasant to us and not cause internal resistance.
Having chosen a suggestion formula for self-hypnosis, we concentrate our attention as much as possible on the chain of thoughts. We model and visualize the image, create a color combination, imagine our new state, and try to feel the sensations. We drive away extraneous thoughts.
For example, to eliminate problems with insomnia, you can mentally create an image of a soundly sleeping person, immersed in a serene sweet sleep. Suggestion structures for self-hypnosis can be as follows:
- I easily fall asleep at my usual time.
- I quickly fall into a calm, deep sleep.
- My dreams are bright and joyful.
- My body rests and recovers during sleep.
- I wake up cheerful and energetic.
Stage 5. The exit from the hypnotic trance during self-hypnosis should be smooth and soft. Don't forget to thank yourself for the work you've done. To consolidate the result, we try to reinforce the instilled attitude with actions.

Conclusion
For those new to mastering self-hypnosis techniques, the first attempts may seem difficult. Therefore, at the initial stage, there is no need to demand the impossible from yourself and overload the subconscious with diverse and difficult to achieve attitudes. You should set one clear and understandable goal for each self-hypnosis session and not reproach yourself for the lack of an immediate effect. By acting methodically and consistently, you can move on to more global formulas of suggestion.
❂ How to forgive a person when you cannot forgive him?
Hypnosis is self-hypnosis: immersion in hypnosis through relaxation of the eyelids
Self-hypnosis training. State of three zeros: “the body is asleep, but the consciousness is awake.”
I think many of you know what self-hypnosis is. If not, then let me briefly remind you that self-hypnosis is the repetition of some phrases out loud or silently in order to instill in yourself the desired qualities
character, become richer, lose weight or achieve any other goal.
Analysis of the use of autosuggestion in my life led me to the conclusion that sometimes it works well, and sometimes it does not work at all, despite months of repetition of a certain suggestion. In this article I have summarized the entries in my diaries over several years and the conclusions about when
self-hypnosis works and when it doesn’t.
1.
I often read that in self-hypnosis you cannot use the word “no and you can’t.” I did not notice that when using these particles of denial, self-hypnosis does not work. It works and is quite
not bad. Therefore, if you want to achieve something, but do not know how to formulate a suggestion without denial, then use it.
This is especially true if you want to give up some habit, for example, eating a lot, smoking, etc.
2.
Selecting phrases for yourself is extremely important. You can often see self-hypnosis for development in books
confidence, money thinking, memory, etc. But it is not at all necessary that these self-hypnosis will work for you.
Some words you don’t fully understand; for some words you don’t have any associations. There are words that for some reason cause you rejection.
Therefore, you need to spend some time choosing words. You won't save time here. Try one or another self-hypnosis. Do you like it, do you understand it, do at least a few associative images appear in your head when pronouncing it, is there any discomfort in your soul or body?
For some purposes, short self-hypnosis is better; for others, a little more detail is better. It happens that self-hypnosis works well for a whole page of text that you read out loud.
3. Self-hypnosis requires at least minimal relaxation. I once tried a self-hypnosis formula that I used for 2 months on my way to and from work. Twice a day, for 15 minutes, seems to be enough to feel the effect. But there was no effect.
And only when I began to pronounce it at home, in a calm environment, having previously relaxed, did it begin to act. Therefore, I am somewhat skeptical about recommendations to use self-hypnosis on the way to
work, while walking, sitting in a car in traffic jams, etc. Of course it won't get any worse, except for the loss of time. Although, of course, all people are different.
4.
Self-hypnosis requires daily practice, at least twice a day. All my successful self-hypnosis occurred when
I worked out quite intensively.
About twice a day for 15-30 minutes.
Missing at least one lesson is bad for achieving results. Missing one day of classes is very, very
bad and greatly undermines the effect of exercise. Missing a couple of days of classes, for example on weekends, raises the question that everything you do is useless.
It’s much better to work out intensely for two months and then quit altogether than to work out and skip weekends.
whole year.
If your work or life schedule is now such that you cannot study twice a day, then it is better to postpone the training until better times, do not repeat the mistakes of others. You will waste a lot of time, get disappointed, and say that this method does not work, although it works, and not bad.
5. Self-hypnosis is please help the subconscious in the formation of images, and not action directly. Therefore, do not just mindlessly pronounce phrases of self-hypnosis. Let some images and situations flash through your mind that correspond to self-hypnosis. As soon as consciousness begins to drift away again, repeat self-hypnosis again.
6.
If no changes occur in your life within 2-3 weeks, then you are doing something wrong.
Review your training, go through the secrets of self-hypnosis.
7
. And vice versa, if self-hypnosis works, do not even think about changing the phrases of self-hypnosis. It is also advisable to save time
classes, frequency, etc. Some well-functioning phrases can be used for years. If they become boring, then
Sometimes it's better to add a phrase than to remove it altogether.
8.
Sometimes auxiliary means are good for self-hypnosis. For example, recording text on a tape recorder and
listening to this recording, or self-hypnosis in front of a mirror.
9.
Sometimes a more basic belief gets in the way of your goals and desires. These could be parent programs or
other beliefs. For example, if you study how to earn more money, how to increase your income, then another suggestion that the rich are bad can completely or partially neutralize the effect of the studies. How to determine that there is another suggestion?
If you start exercising and you experience unpleasant sensations in your body, too much disbelief, reaching the point of
aggression, excessive laziness, etc., then perhaps there is another suggestion that is opposite to the one you are now
you inspire yourself. If you study for several days and analyze the images that arise in your head, you will definitely identify it. Include the opposite suggestion in the lesson program. Everything will get better little by little.
10.
Well, the tenth remark, again in some books they write that you need to formulate goals very specifically.
That is, I don’t want a car, but I want a BMW 5 series, gray, to such and such a number, etc. I dealt with both specific
suggestions, as well as general ones. Regarding this, I can say the following: at the beginning of work, as a rule, you cannot clearly
formulate your dream, and even more so the deadlines, etc. Being specific at the beginning of work only hinders the work. As you get closer to the goal, of course it can and should be made more specific. Therefore, when you started studying, it is better to say the phrase “I am rich,” and as you progress, you can formulate “By such and such a date, through such and such a business, I easily earn money, etc.”
Best regards, Rashid Kirranov.
The problem with wish fulfillment is that most people underestimate the power of thought. Some people mistakenly think that this concept is magical, but even Hippocrates, Aristotle and Plato used the techniques of self-hypnosis and suggestion. To realize a dream, you need to know how to convince yourself that it has already come true, and then reality will begin to adapt to the images drawn in your head.
Scientific basis for the theory of self-suggestion
G. Wright, who studied witchcraft in underdeveloped countries, main reason The effectiveness of their methods was called the ability to manipulate someone else's consciousness. Control was carried out in the form of instilling the required information into a person. The effectiveness of the technique depends on the level of emotionality and impressionability of the patient.
While shamans and sorcerers throw dust into their eyes, scientists began to study this psychological phenomenon. WITH they called self-suggestion a suggestion directed at oneself, allowing you to evoke certain sensations, influence memory, control attention and feelings. According to Pavlov, at the moment of self-hypnosis, concentrated irritation of the central part of the cerebral cortex is observed, and all other parts of it begin to work more slowly.
In Europe in the 1920s, non-standard medicine based on suggestion became popular. In particular, this was facilitated by the opening of a self-hypnosis clinic founded by Emile Coue.
Self-hypnosis technique
The Coue technique is based on verbal formulas that reflect desires, goals and aspirations. Essentially, these are the same affirmations. By composing formulas for patients, Coue helped them get rid of not only psychological problems, but also from some physical diseases. In addition, character correction took place, for example, stinginess was replaced by generosity, reserved people became sociable. The panacea was replacing negative thinking with positive thinking.
Correctly composed formula
When composing formulas, you must adhere to the following rules:
- The thought form should be short and understandable.
- The wording should be simple and easy to remember.
- The formula is positive and does not contain the particle “not”.
- The formula is directed towards oneself, it uses the pronoun “I”.
Examples of successful formulas:
- I am happy in my relationship with my husband.
- I enjoy my work.
- I live in my own apartment.
- I travel twice a year.
- I'm healthy and feeling great.
When creating a formula, you don’t need to limit your imagination. If you want something that seems impossible, don’t be afraid to talk about it in affirmations. The subconscious mind doesn’t care what desire to tune in to, it’s just that it will take a little more time to complete complex tasks.
Time to pronounce
The best time to pronounce formulas is morning and evening. In the evening, when you go to bed, it is easiest to relax and tune your brain to a positive wave. At this time, the mind is ready to perceive new information, it will be easier for it to visualize it. When you wake up in the morning, you can take a few minutes to recite the formulas. But at this time it is better to tune in to a generally positive mood, for example, say to yourself: I am happy and full of vigor; I am ready for the new opportunities this day opens up; I'm confident.
But you shouldn’t limit yourself to just these periods. A great time for affirmations is traveling on a minibus or subway, or waiting in line at the dentist. The main thing is to tune in to the wave of positivity.
Rule 20 times
Each formula must be repeated at least 20 times. If it is difficult for you to combine counting and pronunciation of the treasured phrase, you can finger a rosary with 20 beads, a cord with knots, and if you don’t have anything suitable at hand, you can simply press on the pads of your fingers.
It is also important not only how many times the thought form is pronounced, but also how exactly:
- You need to speak on your own behalf.
- You need to do this out loud, maybe in a whisper, but so that the fur coats move and the person hears himself. Then the formula will be perceived by the brain as a task to be completed.
- Coue advises pronouncing words monotonously and mechanically. But many psychologists do not agree with him and recommend filling every phrase with emotion. This allows you to feel what exactly the fulfillment of a desire will give, what state it will plunge a person into. The brighter the emotion, the faster the subconscious will begin to look for ways to fulfill a dream.
Psychology and a little magic
Each person must decide for himself what will help him fulfill his desire. Some people have a lucky dress that helps them pass an interview. For someone to have a successful day, they need to see 3 white poodles in the morning. Someone buys amulets. It's not stupid at all. This way, it’s easier for the brain to concentrate and believe that the wish can come true.
How not to cause the opposite effect?
It is much easier to instill negativity in yourself because it happens unconsciously. Any fear or self-doubt can interfere with the fulfillment of a desire, displacing it from the subconscious. This is why it is so important to believe in the thought form you are repeating.
Law of Backfire is explained by the phrase “Reality has boundaries, but fantasy has none.” If you pit your conscious and subconscious heads against each other, the second will always win. To be more precise, its contents will win - fear and low self-esteem or self-confidence and faith in the fulfillment of desires.
To understand how the opposite effect works, just imagine a 50 cm wide board lying on the ground. It won't be difficult to walk along it. But if you raise it to a height of two meters, then the task will seem more difficult, although it is still the same board on which a person can comfortably fit. And now the board is raised even higher and placed between two high-rise buildings. The fear of falling makes the task of walking across it almost impossible.
If you have tried different methods and still don’t know how to convince yourself that your desires can be fulfilled, Coue’s main thesis will be useful to you. He argued that there is no such thing as suggestion, only self-suggestion. A person who resists his own desires and does not believe that he is worthy of them or that they can come true will be impervious to any suggestion coming from within or without.
