Please note that due to the large number of loops, the belt is knitted on circular needles in straight and reverse rows.
Zigzag pattern: number of pets must be a multiple of 16 +1. Knit as indicated in the diagram. At the beginning of each row, knit 3 VP instead of 1 dc and 1 additional VP and loops until repeat, then repeat st. rapport, and complete the row of sts. after rapport. Knit from the 1st to the 5th row 1 time, then repeat from the 2nd to the 5th rows.
Alternation of stripes No. 1: 5 rows of orange yarn, then 4 rows of * beige thread, brown and orange thread, repeat rapport from *. Knit stitch (KS): in the front rows - knit stitches, in the purl rows - purl stitches.
Alternation of stripes No. 2: 4 rows each with * orange thread, beige and brown thread, repeat rapport from *.
Knitting density:

LG: 20 pets. and 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Knitting the front and back panels: on hook No. 4.5, use orange yarn to cast on a chain of 81 VP + 3 VP for lifting and start knitting a zigzag pattern, alternating from stripes No. 1 = 4 repeats + initial and final stitches. Having knitted 34 cm from the bottom edge of the skirt, make decreases for fitting in the next 3rd row of the pattern in the starting and ending stitches. 2 dc each in this way: between 3 dc knitted together and 5 dc in 1 stitch. reasons to skip 1 sc previous. row, knit 3 dc instead of 5 dc and again 1 sc of the previous one. skip a row. In the next row in these places, knit 2 stitches respectively. less. Repeat these decreases 1 more time after 38 cm from the beginning of knitting, while in the next 3rd row of the pattern do not knit between 3 DCs knitted together and 5 DCs in 1 stitch. base 1 RLS prev. row, knit 1 dc instead of 3 dc and again skip 1 sc before. row. In the next row in the same places, knit 2 stitches again. less. After 41 cm from the start of knitting, knit 1 more purl row with orange yarn and after 42 cm from the start of knitting, finish the work.
Skirt belt: Using orange thread, cast on 254 stitches. and knit LG, alternating stripes according to type 2. For the corner, make increases, starting from the cast-on row, from the right edge in every 2nd row 6 x 5 and 3 x 4 stitches. = 296 pet. After 6 cm = 18 rows from the cast-on row, close from the right edge in every 2nd row 3 x 4 and 6 x 5 stitches. After 11.5 cm = 36 rows from the cast-on row, cast off the remaining 254 sts. brown thread LP = 12 cm from the beginning of knitting.
Skirt assembly: connect the parts along the side seams. Using a crochet hook, tie the skirt along the longitudinal edges and corners of the waistband 1 next to the sc and 1 next to the “crawfish step” (sc from left to right). Children whose mothers and grandmothers know how to do needlework are real lucky ones, because they can wear beautiful clothes created by caring, loving hands. Besides, no one else in the world has such things. Hand-sewn and knitted items are also a budget-friendly way to update a child’s wardrobe.
In today's article we will tell you how to crochet a skirt for a girl. An openwork skirt will be a wonderful summer gift for your little fashionista. We will introduce you to various ways of knitting children's skirts, and also give you some recommendations on how and with what it is best to wear such things.
Knitting popular patterns
To create light, summer skirts with intricate patterns, a crochet hook is more suitable. It is better to leave knitting needles for thicker, winter items - warm dresses, sweaters, etc. We invite you to get acquainted with two interesting models of skirts for girls that can be crocheted. Knitting patterns are quite simple, so even a novice needlewoman can master them.
Zigzag
“Zigzag” is one of the most beautiful and popular patterns in the crochet technique. It looks especially impressive when knitted from threads of different colors, so to create this model it is recommended to use yarn of several shades.
To knit a skirt with a zigzag pattern for a girl of primary school age you will need:
- several skeins of bright thread (it is better to choose 100% cotton);
- hook No. 1;
- scissors;
- pin for marking rows.
To determine the required amount of yarn, we recommend that you first knit a small sample - this way you can understand how many threads are used for a given pattern and approximately calculate the required number of skeins. Then you can start directly working on the skirt.
In the instructions for creating the pattern, we used the following abbreviations:
- “VP” – air loop;
- “Runway” – air lift loop;
- “Dc” – double crochet;
- “SS2N” – double crochet stitch;
- “SBN” – single crochet;
- “SS” – connecting post.
We knit the product in the round, moving from bottom to top. The number of stitches in the cast-on row should be divisible by 17.
I row: 3 runways, 4 dc with one top, (5 dc, 5 dc with a common base, 5 dc, 5 dc with one top), repeat the points in brackets, finish row 1 dc;
II row: 1 runway, then knit sc to the end of the row, finishing row 1 SS.
Next, we knit each odd row as I, and each even row as II. Every 2 rows we change the color of the threads. Having knitted 18 rows, the next row needs to be knitted, making decreases, since here we will begin to form the waist for the skirt. We make decreases like this: instead of 5 dcs with a common base, we knit 3 dcs with a common base. Then we knit 1 dc instead of 3 dc with yarn of a different shade. We decrease the loops along the edges, one on each side. Next, we knit one row of dc in the round. The next row is RLS. Then repeat the last two rows five times. Finally, we knit 5 rows of sc in the round. We fasten the thread, hide the tail and cut it.
A zigzag knitted skirt for a girl is ready!
Tiered skirt
Your little princess will definitely love this fluffy, lace, crocheted skirt. To make the skirt voluminous, we suggest you knit several tiers of frills. To work you will need thin cotton threads and a hook No. 1.5. If you wish, you can knit a plain or multi-colored skirt. In the latter case, you will need yarn in 2 or 4 different shades. In addition to the hook and thread, you will need a thin elastic band to match - with its help we can make the waistband of the product more elastic. The knitting pattern we present below is designed for a skirt for a 4 or 5 year old child.
The skirt belt will be knitted using the fillet lace technique. We cast on 18 VP, then knit a dc and close the row into a ring. Next we knit: 1 dc, 2 ch to the end of the row. In every 8th loop we knit an increase according to the pattern: Dc, 2 ch, dc. How fluffy the skirt will be depends on how many increments you make. We knit 16 rows in this way. After completing work on the fillet mesh, without breaking the thread, we proceed to creating the first tier of the skirt.
I row: 3 runway, 2 dc from the same base, (2 ch, skip 2 loops, 5 dc), continue knitting points in brackets, complete the row with 2 dc, which we knit into the first loop of the row, then knit 1 dc into the third runway.
II row: 3 VP, 2 VP, 1 Dc from the same base, 2 Dc, (3 VP, 2 Dc in the next two Dcs, go to the third of the five Dcs of the previous row and knit a Dc, VP, Dc into it, then knit into the next Dcs 1 dc each), repeat the items in brackets until the end of the row, completing row 2 dc and dc.
III row: 4 runways (in an arch of 2 VPs we knit 3 СС2Н, 2 VP, 3 СС2Н, then in an arch of 2 VP we knit 1 RLS, we skip the next 2 SSNs, in the third SSN we knit 1 СС2Н), repeat the points in brackets until the end of the row, we complete Row 3 SS.
IV row:(2 СС2Н, in an arch of 2 VP we knit 3 СС2Н, 2 VP, 3 СС2Н, then we knit 2 СС2Н, skip 5 loops), we repeat the points in brackets until the end of the row, we complete the row 2 СС.
V row:(3 СС2Н, in an arch of 2 VP we knit 3 СС2Н, 2 VP, 3 СС2Н, then we knit 3 СС2Н, skip 4 loops), we repeat the points in brackets until the end of the row, we complete row 1 СС.
VI row:(3 СС2Н in an arch of 2 VP we knit 2 СС2Н, 5 VP, 2 СС2Н, then we knit 2 VP), we repeat the points in brackets until the end of the row, we replace the 1st СС2Н with 4 VP, we complete the row 3 СС.
VII row:(1 runway, knit picot 4 times + 2 sc, 1 sc, skip 5 ch), repeat points in brackets until the end of the row, complete row 1 SS.
We knit the second tier of the skirt in the same way in the 1st row of fillet lace, and the third tier in the 8th row.
A multi-tiered children's skirt can be decorated at the waist with a wide satin ribbon. For the ribbon we knit beautiful openwork harnesses.
The first seven rows consist of 3 dc each. Then you need to tie these rows, moving from left to right. The posts and lifting loops in this case will represent arches for knitting. We tie the rows like this: 3 runways, 3 dc, 1 sc in the side loop of the sixth row, 6 sc in the side loop of the fifth row, 1 sc in the side loop of the fourth row, 6 sc in the base of the column of the third row, 1 sc in the second row, 3 dc in the first row. In the end part we knit 6 dc, then move to the side part. We knit 3 dc, 1 sc, 6 dc, 1 sc, 6 dc, 1 sc, 3 dc, and in the upper part we knit 5 dc. We finish knitting 1 SS in the third PP.
Zigzag crochet patterns are loved by many needlewomen because of the simple technique of execution and the beautiful pattern of the canvas. This multi-faceted pattern can be dense, openwork, plain, embossed and perfectly combines different colors of yarn, creating colored waves.
Pattern zigzag you can knit great things for the home: potholders, napkins, coasters, warmers for glasses and teapots, runners, pillows, blankets, using various leftover yarn.
Description of knitting pattern for a napkin and a glass warmer. The repeat of the pattern is 16 air loops + 2 lifting loops. Having dialed the air chain, knit the 1st row: two lifting loops, 2 st s/n with one vertex, * 5 st s/n (side part), 5 st s/n from one loop (outer corner), 5 st s/n n, 5 st s/n with one vertex (inner corner)*, repeat from * to*, required number of times, finish 5 st s/n, 3 st s/n from one loop. Knit the next row like the first in reverse order. When changing colors each row, start as row 1, joining the yarn to the last instep stitch, and work in one direction only. When finished, tie the sides of the napkin together with the ends of the threads.
To expand the fabric, make additions in the repeat of the pattern along the side lines; depending on the pattern, make the additions in rows of double crochets, knitting two double crochets from one loop.
Iridescent bright zig-zag colors are very popular.
Also, these patterns are widely used in knitting tops, jackets, skirts, hats and scarves, both summer and warm versions.
Zigzags in the pattern can have an acute angle or an obtuse one.
Plain patterns with embossed waves look beautiful; to do this, when knitting a pattern according to the pattern, make a row of concave double crochets.

98 row- FRILL – knit according to the pattern:
From the inside I sewed a lining and a 3 cm elastic band. Just because of the elastic when walking, it feels like it’s slipping a little, and you want to pull it up, so I tied a caterpillar cord for the belt.
I tried on the skirt, took a photo, looked... and decided that white was missing, so:
99 row- Color 1 – knit behind the back wall of the loops of the 98th row - ss into the second loop from the beginning of the row (center of the outer corner) - ch 4, * two dc2n, ch, skip one loop of the previous row, two dc2n, ch * repeat to the end of the row
Rows 100-102– knit ss2n into each loop of the previous row
Now that's how it should be! (smiled)

Patterns and schemes
Main pattern 1
Knit in the round with crochet No. 4 tbsp. b/n. Start each row with 1 ch. lifting, finishing the connection. Art. in v.p. rise.
Main pattern 2
Knit in the round with crochet No. 4 tbsp. s/n. Start each row with 3 ch. lifting, finishing the connection. Art. in the 3rd ch. rise.
Main pattern 3
Crochet No. 4 according to the given pattern. First perform rows 1 to 3, then repeat rows 2 and 3.
Knitting density
16 p. x 20 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with main pattern 1;
16 p. x 10 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with main pattern 2;
18 p. x 10 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with basic pattern 3.
Getting the job done
The skirt is knitted in the round from the top edge.
Crochet No. 4 very loosely with the initial chain of 140 (162) 192 vp. and close it in a ring (since there is no fastener, the ring made of VP must be so stretchable that it passes freely through the hips).
Knit in the round with basic pattern 1.
After 6 cm from the initial chain, continue the work with the main pattern 2, while in the 3rd row. evenly add 20 (30) 32 sts.
To do this, double every 7th p. (6th or 5th p.) 6th p. = 160 (192) 224 p.
After 5 r. Continue the work with the main pattern 3, performing repeat in each row 10 (12) 14 times.
After 15 cm from the beginning of the main pattern 3, begin increments to form an A-line silhouette.
To do this, in each repeat, double 1 stitch on both sides of 5 stitches made on one base loop and then knit with a new distribution of pattern loops.
After the next 10 cm, increase again as described above.
At a height of 56 cm from the initial chain, finish the work 1 p. Art. s/n.
Assembly
Pin the product onto the pattern, moisten and leave until dry.
Elastic band acc. length = 72 (82) 90 cm, fold into a ring and, placing the ends one on top of the other to a width of 2 cm, sew.
Turn the waistband of the skirt to the wrong side to half the width and, placing elastic braid between the layers, attach the edge using a hook and additional thread.
